I was fully prepared to accept this pedal as "okay for now," but I am extremely impressed with the tone I am getting out of it. The best thing about this stomp box is what it DOES NOT do. It does NOT color, tarnish, over power, or wash out your tone. After about 1/2 an hour tinkering with the knobs I have gotten this set to where when I step on it, all I get is my beloved tone with… read more just a little bit more, just that little bit of break up. Perfect. Is this on par with the "King of Tone?" Not sure, but while I wait a year and a half for mine to find out, I am extremely satisfied with this improvement/evolution of the "green" pedals I am used to and it is painted in homage of. There are a lot of other "clean" ODs out there competing to be the king, and this is the best I have heard so far.
