Great Pedal

I own one of these and it's one of the best pedals by BOSS. There are a ton of ranges and sounds you can get with it. You can mess with it everyday and unlock new and interesting tones. Great for rock or heavy metal.

As a beginner learning on my own, it's very easy to become overwhelmed in the guitar pedal department. I knew after a few cheaper amps I wanted a tube amp. I've got the blues/hard rock/metal/everything bug in me and all I can tell beginners is GET THIS PEDAL! I have it connected with a Electro-Harmonix Silencer to my Marshall DSL40CR Green settings on classic crunch 12 o'clock read more position. Paired up with an Epiphone Les Paul Classic Worn and its becoming the perfect match. I've watched a ton of video sound guiatr pedal reviews. You definitely cannot go wrong with Boss pedals. You'll noticed immediate quality and tone like no other! I don't want a million pedals nor do I want a new addiction, but this one is a must have for your journey that will last for years. Shout out to Mike Arango for all is help. I really enjoy being a Sweetwater customer and having the help to guide me along my purchases.

Awesome pedal bro-man

I like taking TWO metal zones and driving one right into the other....of course crank everything to 10 on both pedals. And then run this 2 pedal combo straight into the front of a 5150 that is also set at max gain.

Classic Metal Sound!

I love the new look for this 30th anniversary release. I have one of this way back in my teenage years (90's) and I just can't resist to get this release. Try not to crank the gain and experiment with the EQ controls. Shout-out to Kurt Martin for helping me through all of my transactions!

Great color with subtle styling from original

This is my first MT-2 and I am pleasantly surprised. I am not a heavy player so this review is only from a lead and rhythm point of view. The various EQ setting with very little saturation is really strong on it's own, but adding a little distortion really thickens the sound and sustain. When playing around with melodies and riff it's easy to move to the front of mix when moving read more parametric dial tastefully. Adding the pedal in front or back of an amp, or as a preamp really allows for a simple to complex setup. I may have to buy the original as well as I like the color scheme a lot.
