I love this pedal!

I fell in love with the sounds this pedal produces. Admittedly, I am an effects junkie of sorts and this baby is at the top of my list!

Great pedal!!! I have an original Metal Zone pedal and this new Waza Craft gives me the same tones as my original pedal as well as a custom setting that tightens up the tone, all you have to do is move the switch from S to C. I love it!! It can be used as a distortion pedal or as an overdrive pedal. I've been using a Metal Zone pedal for over 20 years now. For everyone reading read more this review, do yourself a favor and buy the Boss Metal Zone or Metal Zone Waza Craft pedal. This is the most loved and hated distortion pedal on the planet, and the top selling pedal from Boss. The guitar players who love it have taken the time to learn how to use this pedal properly. The ones who hate it showed no patience for learning how to use it and give up on it. Take the time to learn how to use the EQ on the top. I put all the pedal setting at 12 o'clock and make my adjustments. I also put my amps EQ setting at 12 o'clock and do the same. I've made a lot of converts over the years to this pedal by simply showing them how easy it really is to adjust the EQ. Rock on!!!

This one does sound clearer than the old one as far as i can tell from my memory. The custom mode is very useable and has a more "normal" eq range, the standard mode is great tho, love the classic metal zone eq range it has. I know alot of people say to plug this into the effects return and use it as a preamp and thats a great idea, but i love using it as a boost in the front end. read more You turn the distortion to zero and the level at like 4 oclock and eq to taste. Great boost pedal. This is how pat and rob of cannibal corpse would get their tone, very pat era corpse sounding when used as a boost. Sounds great with a super distortion dimarzio. Highly recommended.

Great for rock too

I'm loving all the tones I have been getting out of the Waza MZ, generally my fav sounds come with the distortion turned down but I can always crank it back up for that hair metal crunch.

It took me a second to find my tone but when I did I fell in love! I plug it in the effects loop return and add the boss super overdrive to it.
