Headrush MX5

I have used Line 6 products for over 15 years. Happened to see this unit at the Sweetwater store and tried it out. I was blown away by the sounds! Still skeptical, a friend purchased one and loved it. I love the foot print of the MX5. The sounds are great. I wish there was a place where you could go and download other rigs people created. Line 6 had that and loved that option. read more Still I am coming up with some really great rigs and the touch screen makes it easy to do that. Lots of tutorials on YouTube if you are tech challenged. So glad I bought this pedal from the best place to buy new gear! Sweetwater rocks!

The newest firmware update blew my mind.

The new firmware update I don't know what they did but it sounds amazing. I actually use this thing through my ADA8200 and run both outputs into two separate mono jacks then run a stereo track in my DAW. I have been able to emulate the likes of Jeff Beck, Steve Vai, Stevie Ray Vaughn with this thing, no joke. It's amazing.

Blown Away!

I originally bought this unit in September of 2021, to use for local Open Jam nights. To summarize, this has gradually replaced my Marshall DSL and completely replaced my Roland Cube as my practice solution as well. I was hooked from the first preset, though to be fair, my own rigs with third-party IRs feel and sound much better to my ears. This unit feels pretty close to a tube read more amp, with good touch-responsiveness. I've personally been partial to the JCM 800 and SLO 100 amp models onboard. Dialing in global EQ required some YouTube-watching but it feels and sounds great. The first time I played live with this unit, I got tons of compliments about how great I sounded, and I've only created more rigs since then. I love that Headrush releases updates periodically with new amp and effect models! Overall, this unit is feature-packed and to go in-depth about all of its nuances requires more words than I care to type. Great sounds + great features + updates + Sweetwater customer service = 5/5!

Gig pedal Dream!

Small, easy to carry, incredible flexibility, uniform compatibility with the other headrush boards.... With a bit of tweaking and knowledge it sounds better than the real deal and you couldn't afford a trailer big enough for all of the sonic options or amps you can create. Fantastic touch screen and huge community to help support set builds and set ups...... In 30 years the best read more pedal option I have ever used.... And I have bought all kinds of stuff....

Great little unit!!

This is a great little unit. Has all of the internal capabilities of its big brother (Headrush pedalboard) in a much smaller package. Very sturdy build. Great touchscreen. Love the amp models. Love being able to import rigs from the bigger unit. Well done Headrush.
