I have a love-hate relationship with pedals. Many I buy don't even make it to my pedal board. This EHX Big muff is an exception. Many great sounds can come out of this pedal. The first I dialed in was the distortion/overdrive sound I was looking for. Then came the fun. It wasn't hard to dial in more fuzz and suddenly there was that early Hendrix sound. Should've seen the look… read more on the other guitarist's face - priceless! I usually end up only keeping about one out of every ten or so foot pedals I try out. This one is a keeper.

I bought one of these a while back and is my first and only dirt pedal currently, It's very user friendly, sounds good out of the box, Affordable, what's not to love? I run this after my compressor but before my wah to give me a MEAN ginormous sweep which sounds absolutely insane and makes you smile ear to ear, and for you bass players reading this, Cliff used this on the studio… read more recording of Anesthesia paired with a fuzz wah and compressor, absolutely nuts! This is an essential pedal for every player regardless of taste.

Outstanding classic sound. Can't put my guitar down and can't wait to pick it up since I got the Big Muff Pi nano. I just got into this not quite a year and a half ago.
