Love the Tones
For me it sounds as good as everyone claims. One of the sounds you hear in your head and try to create. Great alternate pedal to my Tumnus. Seriously, it just sounds glorious. I dinged it a star because the knobs plainly suck. They are looser than any of the most worn out knobs I have ever encountered. I am not really kidding here, I am afraid a gentle breeze would mess up… read more anyone's settings. It seems like they could easily resolve this and have it be physically a quality pedal to match the tone quality. Weird they obviously ignore this. Nobels should really go for the 5 stars, not settle on the 4 stars.
No more tube screamer.
I have the bigger odr1 with the bass switch and took it to my last gig.I was very impressed by the tone I got out of it.it is nothing like the tube screamer. It's such a smooth over drive I set it low just at the start of it breaking up.with the highs and low adjusted the mid stay untouched giving me a beautiful sweet spot .now I bought the mini pedal, and it's just as tweekable.all… read more these years I use the screamer when this pedal was out there all the time.I don't think I'll ever switch back ,I think I found the tone I was looking for. Get one today and find your tone, now I know what the Nashville players are raving about .the mini pedal is true bypass while the bigger one is buffered.but they both seem to work well with m y other effects.the person who invented this pedal is a genius!!!
Where has this pedal been all my life?
I recently learned of this pedal via internet research. Don't be fooled by the color. This is not a "mid range hump" over drive. The Nobles ODR-1 Mini translates the sound of your guitar and functions as a medium gain overdrive. The Spectrum control leaves the midrange as it is and adds or subtracts the low and highs throughout its travel. I personally use it with a PRS S2 McCarty… read more 594 through a Greenback Equipped Vox AC 10. The pedal is very volume nob or touch sensitive. I play in a 70's style trio...think James Gang type sound. While you could play a whole night with just this pedal I set the drive and level at 2 o'clock just above unity gain and engage a second overdrive (sometimes) for a fatter, slightly less bright solo sound. Small ...versatile...recommended.
Can't beat the size or the price.
Sweet smooth drive at low gain. Gets a bit bassy as you crank it. It likes my Vox CoAxe pickups on single coil setting. I'd love to try it with a tele.
Little green gem
This is a really nice boost/ drive pedal, it's not a Klon clone ( I have one already, and love it) but it's got it's own thing going on. I play through a Fender 65 Princeton , and a Vox AC4 and it sounds awesome especially with a little delay. Teles , Les Pauls, P90s all sounded incredible. It's pretty much a on all the time pedal, check it out. Big thanks to Camron Green and all… read more the folks at SweetWater, always a pleasure to do business with you.
