I've wanted one of these for a while now. My pedalboard has a very "occult - mad scientist" vibe to it, and I figured this would be the icing on the cake. To be honest, I figured it was going to be more of a gimmick. And yes, it's a lot for a gimmick - but just too cool looking not to have. Was I wrong... This thing sounds fantastic. I won't chug if you are into palm muting. But… read more the fuzz tone you get with it is huge. Just that little bit of electric crackle but dialed in just right with the mix control. Honestly, it's become one of my favorite pedals. You won't be thrilled if you are looking to do a lot of palm-muting metal riffs. But if you are just looking for a unique sounding fuzz that will fill a room with atmosphere, this is worth consideration. Very much surpassed my expectations. And yes, it's cool as heck on the board. LOL

I have been through a LOT of distortion/overdrive pedals over the last 40-ish years. But, I have been searching for a distortion that sounds like I beat up my amp and set it on fire, or maybe punched a hole through the speaker. This pedal gives me that beat up, punched and kicked amp sound I was looking for. It sounds great at lower distortion/breakup levels, but I love it near… read more the top where it really breaks up. I kept ignoring the Plasma Pedal because I thought it looked like 'just another distortion pedal' with purple sparks for a gimmick. I was WRONG. I should have purchased this pedal long ago. If you are looking for that "smoking amp about to catch on fire" sound, this might be the right pedal for you!

A distortion in a class all it's own. So diverse as far as capabilities of sounds. I use mine for bass and it brimgs out harmonics that would be impossible with other distortion boxes. Nice and clear sound doesn't jumble up and sound muddy, i can even use it with my delay without it being a wall of noise. Love this pedal !!!
