Tons of features and works great!

I love my Pocket GT. It does a ton of stuff and allows me to practice anywhere without bothering anyone. It has a bunch of good amp models, all the classic Boss effects, and takes up almost no space. Two things I'd tell a potential buyer: The Bluetooth pairing procedure is kinda picky. Read the instructions, it has to connect as audio and MIDI to get everything to work. After read more that, it's great. Also, the integration of Youtube videos is hit and miss. It works by embedding the video in the Pocket GT player, and a lot of videos don't allow for embedding, so they aren't available in the GT player. That's a Youtube thing, out of Boss' control. If you open the video in a regular browser or the Youtube app on your tablet or phone, it'll play through your headphones and you can jam along, you just don't get anything from the play/shuttle/marker buttons on the GT. Two minor nitpicks that don't diminish my enjoyment of the Pocket GT at all.

Exactly what I needed.

I've been looking for a practice solution and Boss nailed it. Modeling, check. Tuner, check. iPad/iPhone interface, check. Functions without interface, check. Play music on iPad/iPhone and hear it in the mix, check. The modeling works like a scaled down version of my AXE FX III interface which is also cool. It only took me 5 minutes to build go-to clean, rhythm and lead patches. read more It even has bass patches and they sound good on my 6-strings with their booming low B's. Super impressed. Thank you Sweetwater and Norb in particular for all you do for us.

This thing is awesome! Either through headphones, or through your amp! Easy to use, great selection of effects!!!

Beyond impressive. So glad I decided on this one.

I originally wanted something to plug into my guitar to practice anywhere in the house with headphones on so I don't keep freaking my dogs out. Haha! So, my dogs appreciate the headphone feature of this the most. And I do too. The tuner and onboard effects are both impressive surprises. I had no idea how great those options would be, bravo! The surprise was how easy it is to connect read more to DAW software and record. Once the settings are worked out a bit it's another impressive feature I didn't know I'd like so much. And I don't even do much recording yet. It's just a fun thing to do from time to time. I have not used the YouTube features yet. As great of a time as I've had with all the other features there's no doubt when I do use the YouTube features they will be just as good too. There's one tiny improvement I'd like to see, some grippy pads on the back so it stays put if it's placed on a table. It slides around quite a bit. Or maybe a holder of some kind Boss could sell as an accessory to hold it upright and secure. Glad I finally decided to buy the Boss Pocket GT, well worth the money, having a blast with it!

Best headphone amp!

Using it as a headphone amp for practice. I was using the Boss eBand JS-10, but the headphone amp in that unit is not very good. I still feed the music tracks from the JS-10 into the Pocket GT using a Bluetooth transmitter, but the sound coming from the Pocket GT is much better that from the JS-10. Some mixers and audio interfaces don't have a lot of headroom, so if you turn up read more the volume from a music player, the sound gets distorted, but not with the Pocket GT. I just wish it had a standard phono output jack so I can use the Pocket GT as a multi-effect unit going into an amplifier because the effects are excellent. I also wanted to prop the unit up when playing, so I found a foldable stand made for smartphones that works great with the Pocket GT.
