Fantastic entry level modeler

This is my first floor modeler and while I know there are more powerful, accurate units out there, the Pod Go has the most bang for the buck. Simple interface, slick design, and fantastic sound. I have a good Fender style clean preset and a several high gain presets using a 5150 and JCM800 amp models. Kinda the dream right there. Add all the effects on top of that? I will note read more that I have this running straight into my amp's effects return and my speaker cab is loaded with v30's. I think if anyone were to purchase the Pod Go and either record or play a gig without an amp, they would want to buy third party IR's for the Pod Go. The Line 6 cab IR's just don't sound that good.

Powerful and Compact!

I've been using this in the studio and at church for the last 6 months and I'm blown away! All the fidelity and tones of the much bigger Helix but in a simple, much smaller footprint. Using snapshots and stomp-box mode I quickly dialed in great tones from an AC30, Blackface Fender, Matchless Chieftain, Divided by 13 and more! All with the FX Line6 does so well! Awesome kit!

Easily worth the cost.

So, after months and months of being undecided whether I should buy a Helix, a Helix LT or the POD Go, I decided to just give the POD Go a rip. How bad could it be? Ordered from Sweetwater 2 months ago along with some other gear I needed at the time (bunch of specific length cables, expression pedal and strings). Before I go in to the unit I need to address how absolutely awesome read more Sweetwater treats customers. I have never experienced an online music gear retailer this customer oriented. 11/10 will glady order from again. Now, on to the unit: The POD Go is massive leaps ahead of the PODxT Live I've been using for a very long time, (sure that thing isn't great but it's durable and better than you'd think once you get the hang of tweaking it). The POD Go is just filled with tons of sims of amps, cabs, microphones effects etc. You really get a lot for your money. If you like to spend hours tweaking your sound, you can. I was able to set up a pretty crushing distortion preset in a fairly short amount of time. Now, there are some quirks and bugs (some may be user error), stock presets are pretty much crap, but Line 6 has always been that way, it's easy enough to tweak what's there or make your own. You are limited on how many blocks of effects and what not that you can put in a signal chain, and I'm having trouble with presets not loading with the expression pedal or tap tempo being active for certain effects or dropping them even though they are set. However this could be my doing, I'll have to look in to it. Do I think it's worth the money? Yes, absolutely, you really can get a LOT out of this unit, especially if you load in 3rd party impulse responses. Even more impressive than the unit was dealing with Sweetwater, once again 11/10, will order from again.

Great for Worship!

I was looking for a good rig to use for worship at my church and the Line6 PodGo is perfect. I had been wanting to buy a helix but didn't have the extra $... or so to pay for it. I got the Podgo and love it. I play mostly acoustic but also play electric. The added reverb and effect capabilities really enhance the sound even on my Martin acoustic. If you play worship music, I would read more recommend checking out WorshipTutorials for their patches you can download with effects to mock popular worship teams/songs. They sound amazing and are easy to download to your new podgo. Overall the sound from this thing is amazing at home on my small marshall amp or plugged into our mains at my church. I run it through a direct box and into the mains. I have had many people from church compliment the new sounds from my guitar and new pedal. Is it a Helix? No, but it will do just about everything you want it to on stage and it is easy to operate and set up to run worship.

Awesome

I've only been using it for a few hours and so far I absolutely love it. I'll be putting it through a large PA tomorrow so I'll know more. I agree with a couple other reviews that the presets are a tad weak but I pulled up absolutely brutal tones in just a few minutes. Very easy to use.
