A Great Point of Entry Into Modeling

Sweetwater Customer

I've had my Pod Go a couple weeks now and I am very pleased with it. It is streamlined in a brilliant way. It can't do everything it's bigger siblings and cousins do and I love it for that reason. I've tried different high end modelers in the past and the over abundance of options and ensuing menu diving left me feeling paralyzed. The restrictions the Pod has gave me room to be read more comfortable enough to actually build my own patches and get to know the unit. And the result is that I'm far happier with my sound than I ever was with the far more expensive unit I tried in the past. It's also given me the confidence that if I decide I need more processing power/routing options that I can make one of the more robust modelers work for me. In a sense the Pod Go is sort of like training wheels but that does not mean its entry level. It sounds fantastic and feels solid. And honestly is all I'll probably ever need. The only thing I personally am missing right now is being able to run two IR's, but that can easily be worked around if I stop being lazy and go mix two IR's into one. Big thanks to my Sweetwater rep Colton for the recommendation!

I already own a big pedalboard, with all the dream guitar pedals. But since I'm a new dad. I was looking for something smaller, carrying a baby with you isn't easy lol. So I decided to try Pod Go, and I'm so impressed of this pedal. As a professional musician, I do recommend this product.

If you have the neutek locking jack on your guitar you will have issues with the wireless not keeping good connection. Other than that it's a great piece of gear. I have created some awesome bass tones with it, and for being someone with no experience with modeling, or irs it is super easy to use. I was right on my way in minutes to creating a preset, as soon as I got the software read more downloaded. It's almost as easy to do it from the pedal its self and if you need to change something on the fly it's super easy.

I've had my share of modelers and love my Boss Katana MK2, but was looking for something with more control on the floor, can be used with either my guitar or bass, and wasn't a monster to carry. This checks all the boxes. As for sounds, the out of the box presets had many useable as-is. I will fine tune, but many were very close to what I was looking for. I can easily find the read more top 20 or so and move from the factory folder to the user folder. What I like about this setup is to quickly get to a decent preset, then hit the Mode switch and go to stomp box mode. The wireless transmitter was charged when I got it and worked perfect.
