Still working on a good Zeppelin tone , getting close , loves humbuckers , works very well with other pedals . I am a true fan of Catalinbread.
Tube Screamer replacement
This overdrive is fantastic. Using it primarily with a '79 Les Paul Standard and a '67 Gretsch Chet Atkins through a Vox AC15. It's got a growl to it that I couldn't achieve with my early 90s tube screamer and the highs just chime. Sustain for days.
The RAH
Nice pedal as a foundation with a Les Paul, I have 2 setups, #1 is my main set up, #2 setup is the mentioned below I run the RAH and the Sabbra Cadabra with a Seymour Duncan Power amp 170 thru a 2/12 Mojo Cab / a Dallas Range Master clean boost to lift any of the foundation pedals and use a ElRay Dorado OD from Keeley with the Range Master for that slight SRV and Texas tone and… read more nails the tone for each, add a effect to sweeten up the mojo, Great pedals Eying the Queen pedal next from Catalinbread pedals I do the 2nd set up as to not change my main setup, and can dive into the nostalgic tones, without changing anything, If i want Zep tone, use the RAH, If i want Sabbath tone I use the Collectors edition of the Sabbra Cadabra, If i want a Texas style tone or Trower tone , i use the El Ray with the range master and add a JHS Unicorn Uni Vibe pedal, and its off to Psychedelic Ville It's like having Picasso's painting palette
Great pedal for Led Zeppelin!
Great pedal to use to get those Jimmy Page tones, I like using it with a Treble booster and an Echoplex preamp, gets close to those crunchy tones you're looking for.
