Love This Pedal!!!
Bought this and I couldn't be happier. This pedal does everything from crazy weird tones to some nice classic fuzz. Whatever type of fuzz you need, this is your pedal. Keep the rip around 11:30 (I've found this feels less gated than 12:00) and mess with the volume and fuzz controls for some old school, Page/Hendrix/Whatever else you can possibly think of tones.
If you want only one dirt pedal, this could be it
My first fuzz pedal, I bought because of the Rip (bias) control. Even with the Fuzz control all the way up all the time, this has sounds from light overdrive to almost Big Muff, controllable with the guitar's volume knob. With the Rip control between 9:30-11:30, it's a pretty normal fuzz. Over or under that, it does some neat gating things you can control with picking dynamics.… read more If I had known how versatile it is, I would have bought it sooner.
Great pedal.
Not a fuzz pedal guy, but when I heard the demo of this I said what the heck. I haven't shut it off yet. Glad I bought it.
Fun Pedal
This pedal is fun to play with. On its own without the ripped speaker effect, it's an awesome fuzz pedal. Dialing in the ripped speaker just gives it an awesome dynamic. Think Jack White.
This may be my new favorite dirt pedal. Fuzzy goodness
I was just GASing for a new fuzz pedal when Ehx announced this. I've always wanted one of those pedals that mimics going straight to console drive sounds and here comes the Ehx ripped speaker that does both! And for $99!?!?! Sign me up. I've never preordered a pedal before but was excited for this. And it does not disappoint. Nice warm fuzzy console overdrive, fuzz face,… read more spitty gated fuzz and I would say it goes beyond a ripped speaker sound, to me I imagine this makes the sound of an exploded speaker with tubes dying super blown out sound. I can almost hear a rat type sound in here too. I love it. Wasn't expecting it to be so versatile. Just one of those pedals I knew right away it's a keeper. Where you take it right out of the box plug it in and click it on and don't need to touch the knobs. Ehx hit another home run here
