Great pedal
Controls are straight forward and it's easy to ride that edge from clean tones to gentle breakup. Took awhile to get dialed in but great for adding in some dirt when wanted without increasing the volume.
OK but not fantastic
My first Santa Ana was defective (foot switch broken), but Sweetwater replaced it promptly. I love the layout of the controls and the LEDs in each knob. A switch on the top allows the user to change the sound of the boost - a nice touch. On the downside, the indicator lights are way too bright. As for the sound, I had high hopes for an OD pedal from Fender. Unfortunately, to my ears… read more the sound is just so-so. It has a sort of generic OD tone - nothing special. The bass boost knob is particularly weak. I have several other OD pedals (well, OK, way TOO many), and several of them supply much more of a bass boost than the Santa Ana.
