Amazing
I have the green version and love it. Hardly ever have to re tune it. Fret work is spot on, super nice edges (you dont feel em, super smooth with the fretboard). No neck dive. Only complaint ive had is with the emgs (some sort of buzz/hum from the pickups or preamp (not sure). Besides that this bass is sick
My SON loves it!
I don't write many reviews, but I have been purchasing gear from Sweetwater and Delvin Wolf for a few years now. My son is 13 and has been playing bass since he was 9. His go to bass for a while was a Fender MIM Geddy Lee Jazz Bass. His taste in music has moved toward harder 90s rock and metal. The Jazz Bass just wasn't working for him. He really liked the feel of the Shecter… read more neck and decided he wanted to move to a 5 string. He loved the look of this see thru black Studio 5 so I ordered it from Delvin and as always the service was fantastic. They bass was A+ in every aspect on arrival. My son refuses to play anything else now. He loves the sound, versatility and playability of this bass. He is able to dial in Soundgarden, Metallica or Tool in conjunction with his pedalboard. On top of that, people always compliment him on how great it looks. Funny thing is Schecter is located about 5 minutes from my home. The bass was built, shipped to Schecter, sent to Indiana and then back to me in Los Angeles.
Awesome Bass Guitar
This is my second bass guitar. Fast delivery and exellent condition. The tone is different than the other brands which has better performence on rock or hard metal.
Awesome bass!
I finally broke down and went for a 5-string, I didn't want to break the bank and find out I didn't really like it either. It arrived at my door in great condition-not even a dent on the box! Impressive. To make this story short, I love this bass.Having a hard time putting it down and my warwick is gettin' lonely. I want to thank Jason for his help with the order also, it was refreshing… read more talking to a music salesman without an attitude, as i usually leave the music store with a bad taste in my mouth.I'm ordering all future music gear from sweetwater! Thanks again guys.
Excellent Bass
I have been playing for over 30 years and this is my first 5-String. the part that surpirsed me is that this is as easy to play as my Fender Jazz Bass. Even with the extra string the neck is thin and the action is great. The tone is terrific with the active pickups and the sustain is awesome. The only one thing that threw me off a little was the length of the fretboard. This is… read more a 24-fret neck and as a result I find myself reaching for the lower frets a little. The extra frets are completely unnecessary and mostly take-away from the playability of the instrument. If you can find one of these with a shorter neck, I advise you to buy it.I am already getting use to it!Becasue I am a lefty, I add to order the universal case separately. That case weight is excessive! The bass is not particularly heavy, but put it in the case and it is quite a load.Bottom-Line: I am really glad I bought it. I love the extra low notes and I love having a close-note E on the B string.
