This pedal is exactly what i was looking for. It nails that screamer sound just right. I love the ability to tweak the sound more intricately than the classic screamer. So versatile. It just nails the classic sound lots of people are searching for. When I hear that classic tone coming from this pedal it just increases my enjoyment of playing so much. I also love that it has The… read more Office spin on it. I dont really want my gear to be exactly the same as everybody else's so this pedal helps me feel like I stand out and am doing something different.
So far soo good!
Awesome overdrive with just the right bite! The pedal does have a gimmicky look, which does sell itself. But the magic is when you really plug in and unload. Reminiscent to a tube screamer, Emerson did their homework and fixed the problems. Roll off the shrillness with the added bass and treble dials to adjust to your tastes. Blues to metal, this boy adds sugar and spice to accent… read more whatever you play.
This rocks! Better than I thought!
This pedal rocks! Bought this pedal mostly for the looks. I am a big fan of The Office, and am from the area, so when I saw this pedal, the purchase was a no brainer. I was partially expecting to get it and have it sound not that good compared to my current TS9 that I use with my 5150 Combo. But I was very surprised when I plugged it in and gave it a try. Even without fully dialing… read more it in, it sounded great. It sounds warm and full compared to the TS9, which is a bit dryer and with a "less is more" type of sound. They both sound good to me, but this pedal is now going to replace my TS9 in my loop because it's just plain awesome. I play rock/metal and this pedal seriously surprised me. It really boosts the tone and makes me even sound like a better guitar player lol. 10/10 looks, 10/10 sound. 10/10 Prison Mike. Would definitely recommend to any metal head looking for a warm/full tone to add to their high gain channel, Office fan or not.
With this pedal, my friend, you'll be da belle of da ball
This pedal was really a novelty gift but I love it. I have a JHS Bonsai as well and I have switched back to this one. Whether just setting it all at noon or lower for a boost, or dial it in with high gain and drop A, it does whatever you need in my mind. The best thing about this pedal - the gruel omelettes. The worst thing about this pedal - the dementors, they are flying all… read more over the place
A Refreshing Take on a Classic!
Excellent build quality that your accustomed to with any Emerson product, and beautiful pearl finish with awesome graphics. The screamer is probably the pedal I"m most familiar with over any other so it didn"t take me long to find this pedal"s sweet spot on my setup. The first thing you"ll notice is there is plenty of volume and gain on tap. I"d say twice that of the typical screamer… read more pedal. The bass and treble controls (active EQ) really help you dial it in on your particular setup. For me I remove all the bass (counterclockwise), and set the treble around 1 o"clock. In comparison to a classic screamer there is much more clarity and presence! I have the volume knob at 11 o"clock and just adjust the drive to taste. With my rig (Strat into Blues Junior), the sweet spot for the Drive knob is between 12 and 2 o"clock. Finally the toggle switch in the middle is a very welcome addition that allows even more fine tweak ability. I prefer it in the down position (think classic vintage screamer mid push). Flick it up for less forward mid push (more transparent) and less bass rolloff. This pedal can do it all from a very lovely boost to very aggressive overdrive. Special thanks to Mitch and the Emerson crew for an excellent take on this classic! Anyone who has an appreciation for that classic green pedal will be very pleased with this version.
