Initially I was concerned with the bass being too light, but that"s not the case. With the maple top, there"s plenty of weight to deliver great tones. In addition to the maple top; the Bartolini, Darkglass preamp, ebony fretboard, and neck through combination works well together. On the first gig, I was able to find my place in the mix easily and had plenty of adjustability . Also,… read more each string was balanced in volume which is hard to do sometimes.
