This thing is fantastic. Works great as the first pedal in the chain, with the best volume control clean up of any of my overdrives. If you use an amp modeler such as a GTX-100 amp or a Strymon Iridium, this pedal in front adds a nice multistage JFET level of tube amp realism to the gain structure and high frequency harmonic content. Check out Andy Timmons using it as he backs off… read more his volume control and plays clean through his Mesa Boogie Lone Star amp, sounds amazing. Thanks to Nolan Dye (ext 3469) and Sweetwater. Try this pedal, your ears will thank you.

Really enjoy this pedal! Has a nice thick bottom end, and has a nice gravelly breakup. Really brings single coils to life. Money well spent!

I'm a guitar-->cable-->amp kind of guy. I can leave my board at home now. This thing works. ...When I need to rock out, even for the dinner crowd, hee. Just a little crunch and it still sounds like my rig. Or I can push it, and have a little fun while the baby's napping.

I use this pedal as boost for a Nobels ODR-1 and a Fender MTG Distortion. It's also awesome by itself. The Drive section on this pedal dares to go where others do not, meaning at 12:00 you're in solid rock territory with some more saturation available if you need it. I primarily use an ASAT and Legacy (tele or strat) and like my mids flat or scooped and this pedal lives up to… read more it's transparent description. I've played other pedals that make the same claim and didn't do it for me. Good thing there's a couple thousand to choose from. Toggle the PHAT mode and it adds some beef to your single coils without overdoing it. This pedal goes into the win column for me.
