I've purchased a lot of pedals without checking them out first. Been disappointed a lot too because they don't sound like they do in the video. But not the Breakdown! There's a lot of songs we do that I want to stay clean on. But for Me, sometimes my amp can be a sterile clean. When I put the Breakdown on 2, it makes my clean sound so much better! If I bump it up to 6? I have a… read more great crunch going on! For rehearsal, I didn't turn it off,left it on all night. I'm very pleased with this pedal. Finally one that was good right out of the box!

If you want a progressive variety of crunchy amp-like response, this is a good pedal. It favors already broken-up amp really. I don't think it is the pedal for a clean platform so much. At the position 6 in a dirty amp with a 12" speaker it's almost like a collapsing over-driven Bassman with near fuzz "spitty" response.

If you like a pedal that is always on, this is it. It can do Nashville leads and Zeppelin tones. Love it
This is an amazing pedal overall. It goes from a nice boost to an great lead drive if needed and anything in between. I highly recommend The Breakdown especially for the price

The Breakdown is over all an amazing pedal and does exactly what its supposed to do. Can beat the price on it either for how good of a pedal it is. It also works great when stacked with other overdrives.

Danelectro nailed this one on the head!! There are so many uses for this pedal, it's really a one-size-fits-all. The best feature is how responsive the pedal is: If you play soft, the gain is very subtle. When you start diggin into the strings, this thing erupts.
