Theta
If you purchase the Theta get the small 100 watt amp and slanted cabinet. You will thank me. Best unit on the market.
The Best
This product is probably the best piece of gear I have ever purchased . I've been playing for decades and the flexibility and tones this thing delivers are simply remarkable . I understand it's pretty pricey , but it is well worth the cost . You won't need anything other than this unit if you're a serious guitarist , plain and simple . Purchase a simple self-powered floor monitor… read more if you want an isolated feed for hearing yourself live and you're all set . Thanks , Sweetwater.
Amazing Preamp
I saw this demonstrated at NAMM 2018. The sound was crystal clear and in stereo. Being technologically challenged, I was hesitant to consider anything other than a tube amp to play thru. Since I mostly play solo to backing tracks, I always struggle to match volume levels between my amps and my sound system. I saw this as a potential fix for that problem. I was right. I also liked… read more the fact that is was foot switchable and wasn't overloaded with too many user inputs - in other words, it's pretty straight forward considering all it does. I now have this connected to my board. Volume matching is very easy. Building your own presets is allot easier than I thought it would be. I now have songs saved, with each song having it's unique presets. For example, clean and dirty; or, rhythm and lead for a given song. No more multiple pedal arrangements and loosing settings on individual pedals because a knob gets moved. No more loading 60 lb. amps. It's rugged, dependable and the sound quality is in it's own league. I know that sounds cliché, but it's true. The demo at NAMM sounded like I was wearing headphones but it was two floor speakers. Also, a word about ISP: The customer service is wonderful.
Amazing
I have this and the analog pedal. They sound very alike but the digital unit has way more control. It does not sound analog at all. It is not a Marshall boogie or fender sound at all it's a isp sound. It is basically a clean crunch lead with a lot of eq built in. Not a modeler at all but you could say that it models an isp amp. It is very easy to use but for the switching and… read more routing I had to get the manual out. I like the fact that it doesn't have touch screens 10 knobs, USB etc. Not much to go wrong with it. This thing has amazing cleans too from crystal to fat jazz type tones. Very robust build. This unit excels at rock and metal tones but can do lighter crunch sounds amazingly well too. It is also very quiet even with the decimatior off. I have had the theata analog pedal for a few years and now this for abou 6 months. Isp rules.
