Does it have Magic or something?
Ive been using it on all of our Events and Gigs.. The Tight High Gain is just too good for Metal and low gain is very nice for Rock tones ,boost really help thickens everything while you Mix the eq to color everything .. many Guitar player ask me about the Gear I'm using, they are just intrigue why my music sound so Good.. the Production Manager once said"that Gear Does it have… read more Magic or something?" and It just bring smile on my face...
Great for tight sounding metal tone
Huge range with the 5 band EQ. I use it for a great sounding metal tone that is really tight. If you want to tighten your sound and get away from over saturated distortion pedals, this is what you want. Also, it's built like a tank, very good quality and solid.
Amazing....really.
I play through a Fender Hot Rod Deville 4x10. It's a great amp with an excellent clean channel. and while I wouldn't say the drive channel is bad...I wouldn't call it great either. It's a bit thin sounding, and doesn't really have enough gain for any modern rock or metal music. So I did my homework, and I gave this Mesa/Boogie pedal a shot. WOW. I could go on and on and on… read more about how great this pedal is, but I'll just cut to the chase and say if you want a monster pedal that is able to give you plenty of gain and thump, just spend the money and buy this one. Yeah...it's expensive for a distortion/overdrive pedal. But it's so worth it. I've played with alot of drive pedals over the years, and there are lots of great ones out there...this one laughs at them. It's also built like it's bulletproof and the EQ adds a very valuable touch of versatility.. Just buy it and you will forget all about how much you spent on it after you play through it for 10 minutes.
AWESOME Sounding Distortion
I recently changed my whole rig from a Mesa Boogie Road King, which has 4 channels: 2 clean & 2 distored, to a Fender Twin Reverb. The Fenders cleans are great, but I still wanted that Mesa Boogie sound. Plug this pedal in and struck an A chord and let it sustain. First thing I noticed was how powerful the sound was. Not only that, the chord sustained for longer than I previous… read more hear from my Road King amp! This pedal created such a strong and heavy sound, that I realized I had to "tame" the sound and dial my ideal distortion in (Rock / Lead). Ive played 2 shows with this pedal and every time I turn it on, by band looks over at me and goes "DAMN! THAT SOUNDS GOOD!". It really exactly what I was hoping for, I'm blown away and couldn't be happier.
This thing is awesome
first thing out of the box that I noticed was the build quality the second thing was how well this thing worked with my dual rectifieralmost limitless tones
