And this is it! Ibanez did a good job with the reissue 808s but honestly, the 808HW sounds so much warmer. The reissue is definitely thinner sounding and more trebely. Amazing sounding pedal. And holy cow. I thought they sent me a box of bricks. Didn't expect it to come in a gigantic metal box!!!!!

This tube screamer is no joke, it boosts the mids like any 808 would, but unlike the other standard overdrives out there, it actually instead of cutting the lows, it BOOSTS them! It sounds pure as can be, it brings that classic green tone without any compromise. It's now my go to for any genre through my tube powered amp. It kills, period. I have owned several tube screamer and overdrive boost pedals over the years and this is by far the best. Due to the internal Mogami cables and hand wiring no unnecessary noise is produced, just the boosted and driven tone you are looking for. I am always searching for different tones and have never really had what I considered a true classic blues tone. This pedal in conjunction with a boost pedal that offers treble, bass, and gain allows for a wide array of classic blues tones and much more. Hands down my favorite pedal now. If you play blues this pedal delivers pure warm sound.

Played them all.... best sounding pedal ever... just throw a good boost before it. Or to drive you're already driven amp. Everybody tries. Ibanez has it. Worth the price.
