I didn't know if I could use a dc supply for it, coz it says Ac on the pedal but the instructions say "ac (only use dc tip negative) so I use the battery. It's just an awesome pedal. My origin 50 loves it

I'm sure you know what a tube Screamer is. I had gone the route of buying budget alternatives. They were fine for awhile but the clarity and build quality of the real thing is awesome. I don't think I can go back to budget versions now. The different voicings are pretty cool although even just the ts9 setting is just a fantastic clean boost. Thanks to Nick for his help.

I got this for my husband as a gift. He loves it, he said it's just what he expected since he had done some research and watched videos while looking for his new future pedal. He says it has good tone. It's versitile and he likes the way it sounds. He has another pedal from MXR that gives different effects, not really comparable. I've tried a number of different overdrive pedals in last year and ended up going with this one. I'm using it mainly on clean channel for a mild overdrive tone. I chose the "+" setting on this one which adds bass that was lacking (in my opinion) on regular TS-9.
