Just amazing
With the gain all the way down, it sweetens up the signal of the clean sound. With a little gain, it's a nice alternative to a tube screamer in front of other distortion pedals. What blew me away is when I cranked the gain all the way up and dialed the mids back - what an incredible sound! It is outrageously good.
It’s a keeper!
This just might be the best overdrive pedal I have ever played. The klon circuitry clone is amazing. I get so much dynamic response and rich harmonics from this pedal that I have never had before. There is a subtle feedback and articulation too each note that not only sounds good .. it feels good. This was an impulse buy and was going to return it after I ordered it but after playing… read more with it for the first 10 min changed my mind
Fantastic Overdrive
This pedal sounds great and has a wide range of tones you can dial in. Having the EQ directly on the overdrive gives me more control, and the range of sound you can find with the gain control is huge. It goes from a clean Klon-esque sound to almost a distortion when you turn in all the way up and engage the hot switch. Simple to use and great sound.
I don't know that there is a better overdrive.
This thing is versatile, first off. It can do whatever you want. For me, that translates to providing an amazing, JCM 800 to Peavey 5150 tone on its own, or stacked with a distortion for legitimate metal crunch and chug. You can also dial it back for a pretty on point Blues Driver tone. Versatile.
A definite improvement
Great tone all over this pedal !! Even if you are really pleased with the sound you have..... it's worth trying . Thanks Charlie & Sweetwater!!
