Turbo rat

I hadn't used a rat distortion pedal in quite some time. I always liked the sound, but currently was using a multi-effects pedal that had tons of distortion settings along with the usual delay, and chorus, etc.- got bored and went back to a more aggressive sound w/ the turbo rat . it works well with most other stomp boxes. it's a great, versatile almost old school type fuzz tone. read more the down side is it's a little noisy, and if you choose to use 9v batteries, you have to remember to unplug your cable from the input jack, or it'll eat the battery.

I've tried lots of pedals to get distorted sound for my bass guitar, but this one is really my favourite. Enough power to replace guitars from low and mid-low.

Not bad....but.....

I bought this to use for my bass(everybody seems to use the Big Muff....I was trying to be different..)...Although the pedal is very well constructed....and seemed to sound great.....It didn't have quite the amount of distortion I wanted. That is just my personal opinion....and is not negative against the pedal.....the problem is every time I hit the switch....the "pop" was very read more loud through my bass amp...I didn't even try it through my guitar setup since that is not what I bought it for...maybe you'll have better luck...

A friend asked "why this Rat?" i said "it says Turbo right there!" It has that extra bite I want in my sound and it is always plugged in--I play it every time I play. It's Turbo!

Great Pedal

This pedal is a real winner. It is much better than the average distortion pedal. $115 is well worth it, it is has a solid metal body and the knobs feel very sturdy. Mine developed an input problem after several years of use, I shipped it to ProCo and they fixed it for free, and sent it back with a tee shirt and candy! they are an excellent company. In the end i have nothing read more bad to say about this. even if you use your amp distortion this can help. I use this to give me an extra boost with my Marshall JCM 800
