Great investment
One of the best investments in my music career of over 60 year
Thank you Tyler Moore
I've owned this guitar for almost a year so time for a review.I asked my Sweetwater expert to find me an inexpensive acoustic/electric with a small body so my shoulder wouldn't pain me as much during a gig.Tyler suggested The Yamaha APX600. He said everyone there thinks they're great.I liked the guitar right away, it was small(er) and it felt great. More importantly, it sounded… read more great and played very nice. But, my main guitars are expensive Taylor/Guild...how can I show up with a $ guitar? I mean, when I play a gig, lots of guys come up and say, "nice guitar", they're not going to say that about my little Yamaha. And so my quest for a different guitar started and I want to thank Tyler for being patient with my returns. Finally, I just got sick of trying. I took the Yamaha in to my luthier and asked him to set it up. Here's what my guy said when I picked it up:"How much was this guitar?""$""Man they sure know how to make a good cheap guitar"The Yamaha is now a standard at my gigs, and now guys come up to me and say, "I can't believe the tone you get out of that little guitar". Yeah, that's cool.
The best guitar I'd ever own
It's very good to play for both acoustic guitar and electric players.
Great guitar
The guitar came out nicely!
The APX became my go-to for gigs.
I have a couple of other acoustics and a bunch of electrics. The thin body on this thing makes it more comfortable to play and less feedback prone than a drednought sized guitar. Build on it is solid, frets are nice, well finished. I like the built in electronics, it sounds great plugged in and the tune is nice to have on it. I filed down the bridge ivory a little when setting… read more the guitar up for myself and the odd shape of the sound hole made it hard to find a sound hole cover, so I made one myself. All in all it's a great little guitar for $300 bucks.
