Great Guitar
I've had this guitar for a week now and boy am I impressed. It's very well made and quite frankly, it's beautiful. On top of that it sounds fantastic. There is a really full sound coming from this guitar. My whole collection is within this price range and this one sounds the best. Setup is a little high for me, but that's adjustable. As for the passive electronics, it's plenty… read more loud with my Fender Acoustasonic amp. The PA system is going to require some sort of preamp though. I like the wider nut as I also play nylon and 12 string guitars. Great for picking too. No regrets with this one. I also need to give a shout out to Jonathan Casarow, the awesome guy I deal with at Sweetwater. He's much more that a salesman and I always look to him for advice. He's never steered me in the wrong direction and I really appreciate that.
Great Bang or the Buck
I'm a big Yamaha fan.. They are totally underrated. I bought one of these in Feb 2022 and love it. I have 2 other higher end Yamaha's that I play, but wanted a dreadnought I could just kick around with. The neck is fast and smooth, the guitar has plenty of low end and is a wall of sound. Even my wife who doesn't know the difference between any of my guitars was like "Wow, that sounds… read more big". Out of the box the action was good to go and no buzz what so ever. The fit and finish are perfect and its a joy to play. You really cannot go wrong with any of the L series guitars. One day I'll have an ll36 :-)
Nice full sized Dreadnought tone
Had this guitar about a year. I have a couple other acoustics, martins, guilds. This Yamaha holds its own against some of the best. Yea I know where it"s made. Trust me guitars coming out of that part of the world are different than they were 10-15 years ago. These are high quality instruments and built like a tank. I bought this for a beater that I wouldn"t have to worry about,… read more but this guitar plays and sounds so good I"ve been babying it from day one. Gets polished weekly, and looks great. Very happy with this guitar, for the money you can"t go wrong with this. 15 years ago this would have been a 2000 guitar.
Excellent product and service
Everything about my buying experience with Sweetwater was perfect, and the guitar meets all expectations. I bought it for my husband, and he absolutely loves it.
