Great purchase

As a songwriter who has other career, the last thing I wantvto do is waste precious time with technology ... I want to create music. This allowed me to quickly start, it is easy to learn, it is a powerfull unit for creating and it's great when capturing a lick or hook needs immediate attention. It is also portable and easy to setup, all good. It also gives me backing to learn read more new instruments more fun, and it helps to traing me with metronome. All in all, as long as it lasts and has durability, I really like it and was pleased with the price point. One of my better buys!

Beefy Looper

I actually picked up the EHX 95000 back in June 2018 but am now finally getting around to writing this review. Firstly, like the title says, this looper is BEEFY. It has an insane amount of functions and unpacking them can be an extremely daunting task. The 95000 has seen near daily use at the heart of my multi-instrumental looping set up for almost 2 years now and am only recently read more starting to feel like the master of this machine. I don't mean that it was difficult to get into though. To just do some basic looping it's pretty much plug-and-play, but getting at some of the more obscure functions and understanding workflow can be a robust process. The sound quality of the loops are top-notch and sound 1-to-1 with my actual playing as long as I'm not clipping out. Gain/levels/panning are all super easy to adjust on the fly so as long as you pay a little bit of attention that should never be an issue. The way this looper saves each overall loop as its' own folder and each of the six tracks(plus a mixdown track if wanted) as their own files within the folder makes editing/mastering the recordings simple and intuitive. Because of this I have been able to use this machine as a recording device for a friends album on top of being a looper. I did run into a handful of software glitches that would cause the whole system to freeze up and need to be restarted in my first few months of owning the 95000 but those have since been patched out and I havn't had any issues within the last year. There are also a couple commands that I wish were easier to execute but that can be solved by the addition of a midi controller. My only major disappointment with the 95000 is that it does not allow for variable track lengths such as de-synced or multiples. This means that once you have recorded audio loop on one of the six tracks, the other five tracks on that loop are locked in to that length and playback cycle. EHX never made the claim that it did any of those things, it was simply and over site on my part in thinking it did and that is where I take the half a star off. If this machine could multiply loop lengths to allow longer overdubbing over a short initial recording it would be a 5-Star perfect looper, but I ended up MIDI-syncing it with a Pigtronix Infinity to make that happen. All in all the 95000 is a fantastic machine if you need the control options higher end looper. If you are just trying to do some basic looping though this might be a little too much for you. As far as Sweetwater goes, five stars all the way. They have the only customer care team that I end phone calls with happier than when I went in.

EHX 95000 For the win

If you've ever used a looper before, be prepared. This thing blows every other looper out of the water. It is remarkably versatile. I will say it does require some manual reading, that's for sure but after a bit of time with you'll be creating some wild soundscapes.

Powerful beyond everything else, yet simple for live use

This is an excellent device. It is musical, technical and friendly. It is a wonder to use on a gig. It blends into the rest of my gear seamlessly (it doesn"t attempt to replace anything, just concentrates on looping), and allows for my creativity to flow naturally without being hampered by digital menus on stage. The decision to use MicroSD for memory was ingenious and timely. The read more faders provide for live mixing/re-mixing perfection, even for the inexperienced looper. Undo is also seamless and simple on-stage. I now have 12 replaceable hours of six-track looping, simply by swapping out the installed card for an extra one I had available in my old cell phone. I have 54 starter beats (and metronome sounds) installed after updating the (34) downloads made for the EHX 45000 and understand how to create others. Most importantly, now that my memory is organized into banks, my performances can be recreated and mixed afresh for future performances. I found that playing back performance recordings is quite educational at home. I look forward to learning more about this powerhouse and using its strengths to enhance my upcoming live shows.

Right Looper for Me...

The 95000 is a mini-recorder / mixer. The unit is easy to use, at least the record, loop, stop/play, undo, track, and stereo section of the pedal. Not sure how well the MIDI performs because I don"t use MIDI at all and I don"t use tempo / quantize. I still "think analog" in the digital world. So, if you want to lay-down a track live, and then, dub 5 more tracks no problem. If you read more want to create an over-dubbed loop that will later be recorded on to another recorder, then, the tracks can be mixed down in stereo with all 6 tracks at different volumes and pans. As a looper the pedal works great. For those of you who are solo performers using backing tracks the 95000 will do the job and eliminate ipads, CD players, etc. The outs on the pedal should have XLR's that's why I gave it a 4.
