I am very impressed with this looper. I had an RC-3 prior to this and the upgrade is well worth the cost. I use this pedal primarily for practicing and the selection of rhythms available is a big plus. I primarily play jazz and the selection of jazz and Latin rhythms is extensive. It also has meters other than 4/4 which is not something you always see. The recorded sound is of very… read more high quality and I have no issues there. There is no tap tempo which might be a draw back for some but I prefer setting BPM directly. It's helped my playing a lot and I recommend it highly.

I picked this up to work on scales. I play a rhythm in the key of whatever I feel like working on and away I go. I noticed an added benefit. This helps a lot with timing. And then there are drum tracks. The RC-10R boasts that it has like 250 drum tracks but the drum tracks are customizable to fit nearly any rhythm you are playing. I was glad I waited to purchase this.. Now since Boss has had several update and bug fixes this is a great looper. I use it in combination with the BOSS OC-3, Boss BD-2 Blues Driver and BOSS SY-1 Guitar Synthesizer. Make my own Backing Track. This pedal is a lot of fun. And with 6 hours of looping storage you can't go wrong. Rock solid looper

I was a little hesitant to purchase this after reading some of the reviews, but I've found the unit to be rock solid. I don't really use the rhythm capabilities unless I'm practicing. The looper capabilities have been perfect. The display rings make it easy to see where you are in a loop, and are great at providing real-time feedback. I have not had any issues with my unit.
