Tap tempo?

I looked this up specifically for the tap tempo feature in practice mode. They fail to mention that, since the tap tempo is a feature of the mute button, you can't tap tempo with continuous playback. I haven't gotten to use Beat Sense with the full band yet, but it already seems pretty touchy. Otherwise, it sounds great tone-wise andI love the convenience of a battery-powered looper.

It did it’s job

I had bought this for a live performance, it definitely helped make my loops on time with my drummer thanks to the external mic that this looper provided. Although, the external had a hard time grabbing on to my drummers snare as it kept falling off during rehearsals. Apply some type of tape to seal it down would do the trick, other than that the product does wonders. I"d be mindful read more about the BeatSense feature as it takes awhile for the built in mics on the pedal (as well as the external mic) to catch up with the loop. I wouldn"t advise to use it if you"re performing the feature live as the onboard mics pick up everything that"s going on including table conversations at a small cafe type environment.. The external mic helps eliminate that problem by a tad bit. This product is definitely a HUGE upgrade from other loopers so please don"t be dismayed by this review. Try it out for yourself!

Huh, it actually works

haven't tested it a hell of a lot but I've had two jams with my drummer. We have a hard time finding people who stick around so it's just me and him most of the time. This thing really helps get that 3rd instrument contrast going on. The beat sense works pretty well. The better the drummer the better it will work. One thing I love about it is that when you start to really read more get into it, it feels natural to play with, you pretty much forget that you're jamming with loops and it responds like another member of the group. Gave it 4.5 because it seems like it still uses the internal mics when you have the external one plugged in. I'd like to see the ability to disable the internal mics as the unit will most likely sit closer to the guitar amp then the drums. Feels like it likes to pick up the guitar for the beat when it gets a bit louder. Maybe add an option to adjust a gate on the mic/s in software. Actually I bet you could do it with the available buttons and knob and leds inside a new mode on the pedal. TC needs to expand upon this and make something bigger. If they made one with a midi output that followed the beat sense, and added a second input and output I think it'd be a game changer. I'm not sure how other people try to sync their sequenced rigs with live drums but I haven't run into any good solutions besides this pedal. Abletons beatseeker is a huge let down and just feels bad to play with. I'm really surprised at how well this pedal works and more importantly how it FEELS to play with.

Live looping game changer.

After using the Boss RC3 and the Line 6 DL4 loopers and the learning curve associated with playing those units live the Ditto Jam X2 is an easy pedal to get up to speed with quickly. I am very happy with the performance of this pedal and how it has made live looping less complicated.

Well done TC!!

I spent many hours playing with the new Ditto X2 Jam this weekend and am really impressed with the beat sensing -it took everything I threw at it and allowed me to seamlessly play with, and against the poorest timed loops. During a quick jam session with my solid drummer roomate -with and without the additional mic -it seemed to work great. I don"t think it would keep up with dramatic read more time shifts, but have a LOT of confidence that it"ll help fill out my live performances. Definitely made me feel more confident in my playing too. So far, I"m definitely recommending it and cant wait for band practice!
