Beautiful, balanced, and gorgeous sound

I'm big into Les Pauls, and this modern grabbed my attention as soon as I bought it. I've had it for about 3/4ths of a year now, and it gets more okay than my Gibson. It's absolutely gorgeous to look at, and the sound is perfect. I plug this into my Positive Grid Spark and I'm lost in sound for hours on end. I bought a case with this, and asked Sweetwater to do a setup with 9.5's. read more The action is flawless. I replaced the NYXLs with String Joys and it sounds and plays even better now. But I highly recommend their setup service. Some people hate the push-pulls but I honestly miss them when I'm playing my Gibson standard. The pickups are excellent, with a little more bite than the standard. And I prefer the skinnier neck profiles so this ebony fretboard is perfect. The modern neck cutaway is brilliant too. It's a 10 out of 10.

This guitar looks great, plays great, has incredibly good workmanship...al for a fraction of the price of it's cousin and namesake of another brand. You will not regret buying this guitar.

I love this guitar. I was looking for a nice guitar with an Ebony Fretboard, and I saw this stunner. Everyone you could ever want in an Epiphone Les Paul. This has the new headstock, Probucker pickups, Ebony Fretboard, Locking Tuners, and easy access neck to the upper frets. This is the perfect guitar, what else could you possibly want in a Les Paul. It feels/plays and sounds read more amazing as well as moving around the fretboard is very smooth and easy.

Gorgeous Finish

This guitar looks great and it was nice to be able to pick out the particular guitar I wanted. I got one with a nice flame pattern. I didn't notice any real cosmetic issues. There is about half an inch of wood added to the headstock which makes it a two piece headstock. Not a major issue, but it irks me that they couldn't find a piece of wood the whole width of a headstock. I read more splurged and had the guitar go through the PLEK machine. The frets are perfect and the process includes a setup, so nothing to worry about straight out of the box. Plays great, and the sound is nice with good clarity on the mids. I appreciate the modern features like the locking tuners, semi-hollow body and special electronics. I do wish it had steel frets to be fully modern. This Sweetwater exclusive finish doesn't have the pickguard installed, but it is in the box. Ask if you would like it installed.

Plays And Looks Amazing! (with a few cosmetic flaws)

First off, the photos don't do this finish justice. There's so much depth to the figuring and the color changes in the light. This guitar plays great too. The neck is super comfy and fast, the switching options are great and the Vintage-Output ProBuckers sound great (although they are a little noisier than your typical medium-high output 'bucker). It's virtually effortless to get read more up to the 22nd fret because of the neck carve, although the cutaway makes shredding there a bit awkward, as you'd expect from a Les Paul. I only have two concerns: the binding and finish durability. As you can see in the photos, there are black markings all over the neck binding that looks just a little messy upon close inspection. The other issue I have is that the lacquer is kind of fragile-- I accidentally chipped the side of the headstock when restringing for the first time, which would be upsetting if I was planning on selling this axe. All-all-though, this is an awesome and gorgeous guitar that I wouldn't change for the world.
