Unexpected

This is my first Telecaster, I bought this as kind of an experimental thing. I didn't expect to like this guitar as much as I do. It's a Tele so it's simple, that's a huge part of its charm. It's easy to play, and it's looks are much better than can be captured with a camera. For the price I think this guitar is an outstanding value. The only down side (and it's a small one) this read more thing is a bit heavy, but the positives far outweigh that one negative. Thanks again Cody Kraus and Sweetwater I am very happy with this purchase!

The Best for the Money Bar None!!

I'm a beginner at guitar and I wanted a decent guitar to start. I absolutely love my Telecaster. This CV 50's Tele is the best. I love the " Twangy" sound of it and it's perfect for the older country style (Bakersfield sound). I play mine everyday for at least 3-4 hrs. lol!!!

Amazing Telecaster

So, like many folks who go into buying a squire telecaster, the idea was have a really good foundational guitar to mod.To be honest a $ guitar is a little steep for a guitar with the intention of basically changing the guts and modding the accessories. But! Like so many folks who have bought the the squire classic vibe, right out of the box I was impressed.Like, I could not believe read more it, impressed. In what weird whacky universe are we living in where squire is making the best base model telecasters ever.Truly, no lie, from top to bottom, this guitars slaps, it hits different, it's a bop, it's a vibe.It amazing. Hardware - perfect, color - perfect, pickups - perfect. Neck - perfect, fretboard - perfect (friggin' rolled frets). I say all this with 3 caveats:1. Do your research on the specs. One ex is that some players do not like is the neck shape. It's a little thin for some. I consider it to be a very fast mobile neck, but some people like big ol' boatnecks. 2. Regardless where you buy it from, whether it be from Sweetwater, reverb, new or used, ASK FOR THE WEIGHT.Luckily, Sweetwater has this increíble feature on their website where they have the weight of the available spread of models.Very cool. But yes, some people have received classic vibes that are quite heavy. Mine is about 7.5 lbs which is perfectly normal tele weight in my estimation. But anything past 8.25- 8.5 lbs and it may be uncomfortable for some. 3. The classic vibe is a bit on the glossy side. Nothing too crazy but she shines. So all the said, the only "mod" (if you could call it that) that I have done to my squire classic vibe is change the knobs to fender amp knobs. It's literally just because I think it looks cool. Other than that my mod game screeched to a halt with this one. It really is a pretty dope guitar right out of the box, everything that I wanted to change was already perfect.Honestly it's to the point where I'm afraid to change anything because I don't want to mess up how great it plays and sounds.Anyways, yada yada yada. The hype is real. Stop procrastinating, get the classic vibe, save some cash, get a fuzz or something and shred away.

I own a Classic Vibe 50s Tele, and it has been my #1 guitar since the time I bought it. I cannot recommend them highly enough! I didn't buy mine from Sweetwater, but I know that Sweetwater does an excellent job of selling (what you see is what you will get) but also a great job of setup and fast shipping. All with very competitive prices. I'm seriously thinking about buying read more another, since this one was modded, and I would like to have an all original one!

Exceeded Expectations!

Even though the main box had a couple of smaller holes from shipping, the guitar arrived in a perfect condition, very well packaged, in tune and setup well out of the box. I could start playing as soon as she was out. The guitar itself exceeded my expectations. The switch and knobs felt solid. It was a display version but, honestly, I couldn't see any imperfections mentioned in read more the description with my naked eyes. Glad I gave Squire the chance. No QC concerns. Love how sweet the pine body sounds. Very resonant guitar that captures the 50s Tele spirit as it meant to do. Overall, very happy with the guitar and service, appreciate answers from the Sales Engineer to all my questions. The guitar and Sweetwater really exceeded my expectations in all sorts of ways! I certainly feel very good about buying an instrument again from them in the future.

I recently purchased this 50's Vibe Classic Telecaster and I am very happy with it. I couldnt find a thing wrong with it. It plays well and is a nice looking guitar. The price was great but other that theres nothing cheap about it! Sweetwater got it out of the store and into my hands pretty quick. I will likely buy another one and put a humbucker in it. If you have interest in one read more of these guitars just go ahead and buy it.

The best entry level Telecaster

I owned a Fender Player Tele and whether I got a bad one or not it did not have the same bright articulate Tele twang that this Indonesian made Classic Vibe has. Its curious most You Tube videos demo CV's with clean tones while Player demos are mostly with a lot of dirt thrown at it because of the hotter pickups. Anyways I couldn't be happier with the tones. Even the neck pickup read more is warm and pleasing to my ears. The neck is fantastic. Its nicely rounded and the fret edges are as smooth as any Pro or Ultra Models I've owned or held. Its better than my MIM Strat and arguably even better than my American Pro Tele Deluxe. Pretty shocking for a sub $ guitar. Neck doesn't feel too skinny to me. The frets and hardware are probably not as durable as a US made Fender but they all seem to work fine and can be upgraded as needed. I got lucky and got one under 8 lbs. Can a Squier CV be a lifetime guitar? Certainly. If it sounds good then it is good.

Another sleeper hot rod for the colection

First of all shout out to SW for the usual out of the box instant gratification of a perfectly playable set up guitar. I own a 3+ year old Chinese CV 50s Strat bought from SW so I had a little worry about the $ price bump since and switch to Indonesia for the new CVs. FORGET IT. The CNC machine doesn't care where it works - this Tele is a 9.1 lb Pine speed machine that plays like read more butter or buttah depending on where you are from. Neck is wicked fast. Buttahscotch with nice Pine grain showing through, black guard, string through - doesn't get much more classic than that. For the jack or even a hundred more this guitar will not hurt your feelings AT all. It makes you want to play it - and that's the sign of a guitar for you. ☮ ☮ ☮ ☮ ☮

One hell of a guitar! Plus the extra $60 for a great setup by Sweetwater was money well spent! Thank you Sweetwater . You never disappoint ! My tele-pro brother picked it at his show last weekend. Played the duration of his last set. Said nothing but great things about this Squire 50's vibe. Keep up the good work fender.
