Wow, just amazing!

As a lifelong guitar player with now 10 guitars, including 3 Les Pauls, this Gibson Slash LP one really stands out! For one, specific to my guitar, the flame is really alive and feels like it's moving. Two, also in my case, this Les Paul is really light - 8.2 lbs - lighter than any of my Strats! Three, the tone is incredible and neck is just right. Yes, the pickups are a little read more hotter than my other Les Pauls but also easily controlled with the volume knob (or by turning down the gain :) I love the fact that there's no push/pull knobs - hated that in my 2016 Standard, and the neck is super comfortable - not a large 50s but also not a super slim 60s, it's somewhere in the middle. Thanks to Bob Furlong for helping me secure this specific Appetite burst immediately and for going the extra mile always like making sure I'm sure on pre-order lists for new releases, and let's face, making sure I get my fix of Bit-O-Honey! :) Rock on brothers...

A Gung ho ‘50’s Les Paul

Nick

Much like a combat-experienced marine, this guitar is gung ho and ready to go. No excuses and no holding back. It's an LP that can do jazz, metal, rock, blues, and anything else you can think of. The tone controls and volume combine to deliver a multitude of tones and screaming wails. It sounds great, no matter what is thrown at it. I've never been disappointed with a Les Paul, read more and this one is no exception. If it doesn't sound good; practice and do better…it's you, not this guitar.

Excellent guitar!

I've had my anaconda burst Slash Les Paul for 3 weeks now and haven't put it down. In that time I've put some serious hours on it. I was already familiar with this model, good friend of mine has one. This is an OUSTANDING guitar! I absolutely love it, you can get beautiful clean tones to classic crunch, hard rock and metal, whatever you want this guitar does it and does it well. read more I had Sweetwater install Seymour Duncan APH 2's in it, there is nothing wrong with the stock pickups, they are actually quite good but the SD's are just amazing. The clarity of the notes is top notch, especially when you get in to heavier high gain tones, nothing is lost in the fuzz, so tight and crisp. If you can I'd highly recomend those pickups for this guitar, they are not a hot pickup by any means just slightly hotter than a Standard but man do they soung good. I love this color, such a cool looking guitar I just had to have one. I bought a demo model, it was the right weight 8 lbs. 11 oz. and it has a beautiful flame top the pictures looked great so I figured I'd take my chances. They said there was "contamination" on the surface in a couple spots, you couldn't see it unless you held it at the perfect angle in the light. You could feel it though, my best guess is it was a little bit of overspray or something, whatever it was I buffed it out by hand and it came right off, took me all of about 5 minutes. Needless to say I got a screaming deal on an outrageously cool guitar, this is the best playing guitar I've ever had, I currently also own a tele and a PRS S2 custom 24. Special thank you to my sales engineer Cassie and Chris for making this happen. Also super big thank you to Lucas who installed my pickups and set this guitar up, it is absolutely perfect, the nut slots are cut correctly, perfectly intonated, action is spot on to what I asked for and every note rings true. And it stays in tune, Les Paul fans will be happy about that. I highly recommend this guitar, it's a fantastic instrument. I believe the anaconda burst is now no longer in production, it was a limited edition color along with the vermilion burst. If you like that color you better snag one up, it is so cool. Looks way better in person, pictures do not do it justice.

Gibson Les Paul Standard (Slash Anaconda)

This guitar has a sound like no other. Huge, creamy, mid-range crunch. Pure rock n roll. Mine was very well made with a few tooling marks on the fret board, but very much within an acceptable range. I'm so addicted to the sound of this thing. My gosh it just sounds so good. Thanks to Patrick for being a great salesperson.

Gibson is back! And I am glad for it. There is nothing I can complain about when it comes to my new Slash Paul. Nothing!! It's a Rock machine no doubt. But it is also a fat juicy blues riffing & metal spitting monster of tone. The finish and grain on my unit is exceptional. I popped it right next to my Gibson SG 200 and they looked like they were meant to be together since forever. read more The Slashbuckers sound primal and deadly with the tone know all the way down. Love that noise! Just get one already man!

Josh Strid did it again! I found this on a Friday night and wanted to get some images as it was a Demo. Told Josh to snag it once I saw it. Wow! Demo its not. It had the slightest marks on the black pickup rings. I was planning on putting cream rings to match the bindings anyhow. What deal. I have looking for months for one with the right top and weight. To get one on a demo pricing read more is just great! I added cream rings and poker chips with gold speed knobs and dropped in a set of Seymour Duncan Slash pickups. Now for the Guitar. Its outstanding. My Second Slash from Sweetwater, the other being a November Burst. The fit and finish are perfect. If you want one I suggest go play one. The neck is just right for me. May not suit you. I own 6 Gibson Les Paul guitars from studios, classic, standard and the Slash Standard along with a couple of SG and ES models. Gibson has improved their quality control. I have five built since 2019. IF you get a salesman like Josh working for you its even easier to make your mind up to drop the $$$ on a Gibson. Thanks Josh

I'd like to thank Sweetwater for making my dreams come true... I've been waiting for a guitar like this since I was a teenager. The Gibson LP (slash signature) not only fullfil my expectations... also exceed it. In my case, I took a high risk buying a guitar that I've never payed it before... specially considering the fact that a live in a different country. And the only reason read more why I choose to keep going with this it was the amazing support provided by Sweetwater and it's team. So a have to mention that Mr. Grant Vitek is the responsible for all this to happen. Thank you Grant & Sweetwater!

Stopped playing for a number of years and sold my Studio. Had the opportunity to buy it back and started to play again. Always longed for a Tobacco Standard without a pick guard and a fat 50's neck. My studio is a 60's slim. Never considered myself a Slash fan or Artist Editions in general but I do love his tone. The minute I held this guitar in my hands I new it was something special, read more I know tone is subjective but there is nothing not to love! Sweetwater's set up is perfect, and the phone call from Ashton to check up is why you need to get your hands on one of these, from Sweetwater of course.

First of all, I would like to thank Rob Kramer and his team for always caring about what is important to me, these guys are THE best. This is only the second American made Gibson Les Paul I have ever owned in my 56 years, the other is a 2017 Tribute Gold Top. I wanted to have at least one Elite guitar in my collection, and as always Sweetwater made it possible for me to do that. read more I love this guitar, and the workmanship is outstanding. I have never played an LP with a 50's neck profile, I never thought I would like it but I do. This guitar is beautiful with an amazing top, and the tone is fantastic. I love everything about it and Sweetwater provides many payment options that make it possible for a regular Joe to afford to own a guitar fit for a legend. Thanks again, I will be back for more later!!

Slash LP delivers!

After playing a new 60s Les Paul Standard for a few months, I started to look at the 50s models. The Slash Standard LP has many of the 50s appointments and so I was on the hunt for one. I worked with my Sweetwater Sales guy and we found one with a nice top and that weighed about 8 1/2 pounds. Getting a LP under 9lbs was important to me and I'm glad that I was picky; this one read more is very resonant and easy to play for long periods of time. The Slashbucker pickups sound great to me. I love the neck carve and the guitar is all that I could hope for. I did add the included pick guard as I think Les Pauls look better with it on. The Appetite Amber top is beautiful and the figuring of the wood is very nice. I think that the Slash LP is at the top of the production line and is probably as good as it gets without spending considerably more money for a Reissue or Custom.

This is an amazing guitar!!! I have had a few Gibsons over the years and the quality was hit or miss. I bought a Les Oaul Traditional two months ago and absolutely loved it. I had been a PRS addict for the last few years and had several ORS Guitars, the Les Paul surprised me with how good it was. The $1,999 Gibson was as good as my $5,000 PRS, I played it more and really enjoyed read more it. When I got the chance to get the Slash Les Paul I had to do it. I was hoping it was as good as the Traditional and it turned out to be even better. As the owner of PRS 10 Too guitars I couldn't believe how beautiful the Appetite Burst Les Paul was. It is stunning! When I picked it up and played it felt and sounded as good as it looked. Such a solid guitar with a nice chunky neck and so much raw power coming from the pickups yet they maintain clarity. You can hear every note in a chord, it's a beautiful sound. The guitar is so resonate that when you play you feel the notes through your hands and body of the guitar. It really adds a whole new level of feel to playing, bending and vibrato are so easy, you can be so expressive playing this guitar. I seriously recommend this guitar. I have a lot of guitars, a lot of expensive guitars and they pretty much sit or hang on the wall now. This guitar is my Number 1.

The guitar arrived set up and ready to jam. Quick tuning and I was off to make noise. The look and feel of this guitar makes it hard to put down. It's my heaviest guitar but it's a treat to play. No fret buzz, no blemishes, polished up and perfect all around.

This is the 4th Les Paul I've owned. The others being less expensive models but very good guitars. This however is perfect right out of the case. The finish on the Anaconda Burst is stunning. Gibson paid great detail to the making of this guitar. The neck plays fast and comfortable and the sound of the high output pickups are very very good. I plugged this straight into my Blackstar read more HT 50 stack and it hardly needed adjustment for the tone I wanted. Very awesome sound and playability from this Slash Paul. I couldn't hardly put it down. Easily 5 Stars.
