Yes, I'll admit I've wanted an SG ever since I saw Robbie Krieger fingerpicking the solo in "Light My Fire". A real Gibson is waaay out out of my price range. Even the the upscale Epiphones are stretching it. When I saw this little gem it was a no-brainer. 50+ years later, I've got my SG and I couldn't be happier. Got this guitar for my son for his 13th bday and impressed as always with the service from Mike Wright and Sweetwater but also the quality of the instrument. The matte finish looks very nice in person and the guitar sounds great and stays in tune. What more could you want for $? This is, literally, the best guitar I have ever played. It took about 3 days and a lot of gentle sanding and tweaking (intonation, action) to bring her to playability. This precious has the thinnest D neck in Kingdom Come. I like that. A bit of labour lavished upon her loving soul bring out the devil. Epi SG...don't forget the linseed oil.

I recently bought this guitar and it is amazing. Out of all my guitars this one has been my favorite. It is easy to play and makes a good sound. It also stays in tune. I have only been playing for a year and it is easier to play than the "beginners guitar" off of Amazon. It is a good choice for beginners.
