Incredibly Versatile

I received one of the last made in Korea models and it is amazing. The coil splits are surprisingly useful as well.

Love it

This is only my second electric but I sure do love it. Plays great. Sounds good to me. Weight is fine and feels balanced. Locking tuners are cool, not had those before. And the color is amazing.

Almost there!

I only have one measly gripe. My veneer ply has very little figuring to it. So compared to several I've seen online mine is rather "plain" looking. If I had the pick of a few there is likely no way I would have chosen the one I received based on looks alone. The guitar otherwise is fantastic and beautiful! Can't add a photo for some reason.

Great Guitar

I ordered the ESP LTD ec-1000 Amber sunburst I really wanted this guitar for a few years now and I finally got on it and it's better than I imagined I didn't even realize till I looked at the 55 point inspection card it has a coil split on it and the tone knob if you pull up on it, it splits one in the humbuckers into a single-coil pickup and that's just amazing cuz they didn't… read more even have that listed at the time I was buying this guitar I called Sweetwater and let them know when I am found out and let them know that they didn't have that listed and the sales person I talked to said they would try to get down on the list because it shows directly from the ESP company that it comes with a coil split on it let's just say I would highly recommend this guitar it by far exceeded my expectations and my expectations we're already a little bit high for being such a well-known brand and the humbuckers it had on it. This guitar is great for metal, rock, clean and blues sounds. If you are concerned about shipping and you would like it shipped in a case the sales people have an option when you call to have it shipped in the case and that is what I chose to do and also had them tune it for me it showed up just straight out of the case ready to play. I will definitely be ordering from Sweetwater again when it comes time.

The workhorse

We all have our working mans go to guitar the tool we reach for because we know it inside and out, and it's completely perfect. David gilmour has his black strat, clapton has brownie, and I have this little guy. It is the perfect weight, it has a perfect next, and the engine pickups give it the perfect sound. I own 3 primary guitars. This one, an American Ultra Stratocaster,… read more and an ibanez RG 550 Genesis series. I would say that this is the most versatile guitar I own. And truthfully, I feel like it plays and sounds better than my other two. I've been playing for going on 25 years, I use a Marshall JCM 2000 and an orange TH30. I also use a line 6 HD500x pedal board in my effects loops. This guitar has such a good deep clean tone, but when you get it dirty is when it really shines. I will say that the fender does edge it out when playing those clean blues tones, but this is no slouch. I've owned this guitar for about 10 years.... and I can honestly say that even though my strat is valued over a grand more, I'd grab this one in a fire. I would say this guitar really shines in punk, grange in metal. I will post two videos of recording I have used playing this guitar, the amplifier was my JCM 2000 DSL 100 using the amplifiers overdrive, no pedals

Excellent guitar.

This is a very nice guitar. I'm a beginner and this is my second guitar and I bought this guitar cuz I wanted something nice and it was quite the upgrade from the entry-level guitar I had. Sounds great feels good and I would absolutely recommend it to anybody. Rock Solid

This thing plays like a dream. Well balanced and comfortable to play sitting, standing, laying down, you name it. Definitely feel like I got more than my money's worth. A Do It All Monster

Forget the Epiphones, forget the Gibsons, forget the PRSs, this is hands down the best single cut solid body guitar on the market for the price, bar none. The fit and finish is impeccable and the hardware all seems to be high quality and capable. Compared to other singlecuts it seems a bit lighter and less of a strain on the shoulder without losing any of the tone that single cut… read more all mahogany guitars are known for. The neck on this guitar is also very nice. I have small hands and like really fast thin necks. This guitar has the fastest neck of any single cut I've played, and in some ways feels faster than a lot of necks on similar hard rock/metal guitars that I've played. Hands down the real draw to me for this guitar over other single cuts, including others in its line was the Seymour Duncan pickups. The JB/59 is probably the most versatile humbucker configuration on the market. It sounds good playing pop punk, it sounds good playing thrashy metally influenced melodic hardcore, it sounds good playing classic rock, it sounds good playing anything from the 1980s, and while I haven't tried yet I'm sure they would sound good playing modern ultra drop tuned stuff too. These pickups alone are reason to consider buying the guitar, on top of the high build quality and great playability.
