I actually sold two guitars (one being an old Strat I had for over 20 years) to fund this. I've been partial to Strats ever since my second guitar when I was 13 was a MIM squire. It was about time for an upgrade, and I was GASing hard on this since it released. I watched numerous YouTube vids on it too, the only thing I couldn't decide on was the color. My last Strat was burst… read more too, so since I didn't want to wait on the other colors, why not. I'll replace the pickguard and hardware since I don't dig the shell color that much. THIS THING FEELS AND PLAYS AMAZING. The case it the best case I've ever owned for a guitar. The back of the neck is very smooth, the fret work is top notch, it stays in tune. I'll action was a tad high but I'll set up better once I change pick guard and hardware knobs to black. it plays like a dream and just feels like a quality instrument, I can tell you, it's obvious Fender has been killing it in sales, they really have their Sh** together with this instrument. Did I mention the clean sounds are pristine and crystal clear. I'm in a band, but nowhere close to a professional by any means, screw spending 3 grand on a suhr or something. This is top of the line. Shout out to Norb, he's awesome, I'll call or email out of the blue and is very responsive and always takes care of me. half star off because at that price it should have locking tuners and more color options imo
