Wow, just wow!

This is my 7th Gibson guitar... I love them all, but this one is my favorite... absolute perfection! It arrived in tune and awesome action. I heard someone say on YouTube that they would swap out the pickups but they sound amazing to my ears through my Rockerverb 100MKIII; it really rips and dead silent humbuckers when not playing. It came with a stunning case that beats my custom read more shop fender and Gibson cases. The best part is that I was hesitant for years to pull the trigger on this purchase but I wasn't sure on the natural aesthetic. Either I got lucky or something but mine has an almost dark butterscotch color, the mahogany grain is stunning. Shoutout to Ryan for hooking me up with this great guitar. Feedback to Gibson: Nice work on this one, I wish you'd offer this with gold hardware as an option.

This was the third guitar that I bought, ironically, right after the Flying V. It sounds amazing, and it looks awesome. Gibson is definitely holding their value. It sounds like thunder, and it is one of the greatest guitars I have ever played. I nicknamed my explorer peanut butter, this will not be the last guitar I buy from Sweetwater.

This is my second guitar purchased from Gibson's Original Collection of guitars. It's also my favorite guitar of all. It's light weight, marvelously balanced, plays like silk and holds tune like a beast! I also appreciate the use of the quality hardwoods, hardware and finish that are rolled into this classic boomer guitar. I think Gibson did a great job fine-tuning the design goal read more and executing the build of this model because it all shows up when you play it! I had Sweetwater Techs set-up the guitar and my example came out of the box in tune! How Sweet is that! If you've never taken advantage of having a Sweetwater Tech setup your new guitar the way you want – You're missing out. While I still slightly prefer the asymmetrical neck found on the Gibson Modern Collection, the Slim Taper neck on this Explorer does not disappoint and when combined with the Burstbuckers exhibits shameful amounts of tone and sustain! It's a lot of fun to play!

Great Guitar and Great Service

This guitar plays and sounds like a dream! From the neck to the pickups, it is built to play. Sweetwater's service is second to none and my experience with them while purchasing this guitar was no exception.
