My 4th SG
I have many guitars but have always favored SG's. I'm not sure there is any such thing as a bad SG, even at the entry level but it's hard to imagine they can get any better than this one. The color is a nice change from the burgundy's and cherry that you see on every street corner. If you don't own or never had an SG, buy this one. You'll forever be a lover like me.
Serious Axe
So this is the second guitar I've bought from sweetwater in 10 months. It plays like a dream and is so much more beautiful in person. The neck is slim so it is a fast neck you can shred on.And my salesman Gage Massey always takes care of me when I order from him.He is a super nice guy and always a pleasure to talk too.If your thinking of getting this guitar.Don't delay you will be… read more so happy you did. Also I have experienced no neck dive from it at all.So stop reading and start ordering it.You'll thank me later.
Awesome
Nice guitar with awesome features. I'm usually an LP player but will use this for certain songs for sure. I noticed some neck dive but nothing like some other reviews said, and that's using a standard strap nothing special. The push pulls do not drop the volume like others I've tried. Fretwork is spot on. The nut is a little sharp on the high e side but all other things considered… read more I'd say this is a win for Gibson.
Great guitar, demo model.
Purchased a demo model that was in great shape and perfectly described. Compound radius neck is excellent. Thicker down below so you don't get fatigue while chording. Wider and thinner up top to spread out a bit so your fingers don't trip over each other. Do not experience any neck dive issues A little bit heavier than your typical SG because of the maple cap which is actually… read more about 1/2 the body of the guitar. The bottom mounted jack is great so nothing gets in the way of your swing while doing Pete Townsend windmills. Big thank to Stephen Oppenheim
Incredible!
Let me just start off by saying that the customer service through Sweetwater is truly amazing! One of the knobs on the guitar was broken and within a few days they had already sent me a new knob. Now onto the guitar. This guitar is incredible! The pickups continue to ring long after you strum it stays in tune like you wouldn't believe and it sounds even better than you'd expect… read more it to. Now the last thing and THE ONLY complaint I have for the guitar is that it is just a tad neck heavy, so if you plan on playing standing with a strap you will have to hold the guitar up to play because it nose dives. Other than that one thing I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
