Fun pedal with software limitations and poor documentations

This is a fun pedal and a good practice tool. The default setup gives you a few different sounds and you can get some great sounds out of it. This is especially true if you put some ambient effects before it. It can make some very nice drone sounds to play over. The pedal does have two drawbacks for me. The first is minor but it should be mentioned. Documentation that comes with read more the pedal and what is available on TC's web site is very limited. It is not enough to use the pedal effectively. Fortunately, there are good video tutorials for the pedal on YouTube. Without those, it would be difficult to figure out how to use the pedal to it's full potential with the little bit of information that comes with it. The second is a bigger issue for me because it greatly limits the tonal potential of the pedal. This pedal gives you only a fraction of what it can do on it's own. Unlocking the full sound potential of the pedal requires their Tone Print software and this software does not run on Linux. Their web page claims that it runs on PC/MAC but it actually only runs on Windows PC's. So if you are a Linux user you will have to settle for the default functionality of the pedal. Despite of those shortcomings, it is a good pedal.

I really dig this pedal. It has be come a big part of my practice routine. I find the sounds it creates to feel organic and inspiring. The ergonomics and workflows just make sense. I can easily sit down and lose an hour with this pedal. I have had no regrets with this purchase.

Better Than Plus

I hate that I like it more than my Game Changer Plus pedal (I've had on my board for about 9 months now, maybe used at 75 gigs?), but I do. It has a slight delay when you press it down (probably adjustable) that makes the sample more clear while you are still able to press down at a more comfortable point in the music. This made the pedal super easy to use on stage, right out of read more the box. It also has a built in verb (had to had a shimmer in the effects chain to make the Plus sound good enough on its own). These types of pedals have a long way to go, but sure have come a long way recently.

There have been other sustain pedals, this one nails it with incredible tone print options!

There have been many sustain pedals that grab a moment of time and sustains it forever. Some are simple and freeze a frequency and others offer some modulation so the captured sound can have some movement and free like it has some life. Those are good, but are not great for features and or price. Then there is the newly released TC Infinite pedal, it is great. It does the basic read more functions with good built in modulation and the option to add reverb and then there is the TC Tone Print slots that let you go crazy with effects and texture on that captured sound bite. You can easily push it into a classic pad. Not enough? They give you an effects look to further flavor your infinite sound bit. Grabbing a note is easy, layering it is easy, and clearing the sound is easy. It's not like using a looping pedal because your timing for building your sample is not important. Moving between captures uses tails to provide a smooth transition between sound bites like captured chords. Switching off the capture also uses tails as default so you don't loose your effect abruptly. It all feels very organic and is so fun to just play and create! Ya it's worth the price, which is not that much as pedals go.
