Amazing!!!
To be honest, I don't have a lot of guitar experience. I'm relatively new to the field, but I absolutely love this guitar. The actual guitar is a little darker than shown. I paired it with a vypyr x1 and it sounds so good! If you're looking for a guitar to jam with or learn on, choose this one. I showed it to a friend of mine who's been playing almost 40 years, and he almost… read more fell over when he heard how much I spent. According to him, it looks like something you can get for $500. He may be exaggerating, but idk. The one critique I have is that when I'm playing quick on the high e, my hands hits the volume knob and slowly turns it down until I can't hear it, but I have big hands so it's not the manufacturer's fault. I already named mine Alan.
Looks great . Neck and fingerboard are awesome. Sounds good. .
This guitar has a good neck, fingerboard, and frets that are not usually found on budget guitars. Feels great. Frets are jumbo and well polished. Binding on the edge of fingerboard is nice. Set up is good out of the box. Jackson pickups are hot and sound good clean or with distortion. Volume and tone controls are responsive. The body paint is flawless. The tuners are adequate, but… read more I probably will upgrade. Strap buttons are large.
Insane for the price
Bought this just to be my project guitar and it became one of my favorites for heavy/noise/shoegaze. I modded mine quite a bit just because I like modding, but this guitar is a steal by default. Mods: Seymour Duncan Invaders Arcade Kill Switch Coil Tap
Plays Well. Good Guitar Indeed
After installing a D'Addario locking strap I stretched the strings and took the Jackson JS22 thru the paces. I was pleasantly surprised the neck felt so smooth. I conditioned the fretboard with linseed oil the next day. A few days later I added my initials to the front of the guitar (a-la SRV) with ease and cleaned and polished the frets. Sweet. Later in the week I used Lemoil (from… read more Australia) by Stuart Box to clean the neck. While the strings settled in on my Blue JS22 I was playing my Goldtop Epiphone '56 reissue Les Paul for a few days. Last night I picked up my JS22 and had a blast putting it thru the paces again. It's great. It's giving the Goldtop a run for it's money. I'm considering upgrading to Jackson locking tuners. Everything about this guitar from the pickups to the neck to the paint to the setup make it fun to play. Love it.
Great Guitar
Made my family buy this for me for Father's Day:) Was not expecting much for the price, but what a surprise, awesome guitar - would highly recommend it. And as always SweetWater service was top notch, they verified it would arrive one time, which it did - and kept me informed along the way. Always wanted a more hard rock guitar to play 80's rock and this was it. Pairs perfectly… read more with my Marshall tube amp which I also bought online with SweetWater!
