Best Money Spent
I have been a guitar player for more than 40 years and this guitar has exceeded my expectations, period. To put this into frame my last guitar was a Gibson R8 which I loved. But do to a hand injury a few years ago I thought I was done and sold off my guitar. Fast forward a few years and a surgery later and I'm back. I bought this guitar more as a test to see if I could really… read more still play and I'm doing OK, yah. The fit and finish on this guitar rivals other brands in the thousands of dollars, no question. The only upgrade I've done is replace the stock pickups with a set of Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates and it sounds and plays GREAT! Tonally I'd put it somewhere between an SG and a Les Paul, IMO. For the money I really, really feel you can't go wrong with this guitar, especially at it's price point. If you want a little more bling buy it with the maple veneer and for the money your good to go again. Or save the upgrade charge and order a set of good pickups and you're all set right out of the gate.
PRS SE 245 Standard
First off, five stars to my SE, Damon Spragia. He is the best! He is always willing to help me make decisions, give me options, ideas and set my expectations. Plus, he takes the time to just talk gear with me. SO my SE 245 arrived yesterday. I was not too pleased with FedEx as one end of the box was open and the packing foam was in disarray. Aside from that, I let it normalize… read more for 24 hrs before taking it out of the box. It was over 100 here in Texas when it was delivered and the box was hot! But, a close look over today and it appears to be in fine shape. In fact, it only needed a slight tuning adjustment on 2 strings to be ready to plug into my Fender Tone Master Super Reverb. Working through the pickups I was blown away with the tone of this mahogany beauty. I rarely buy a guitar sight unseen or without getting my hands on it. But, all my reservations have been put to rest. For the money this thing is a no-brainer. If you want an LP style guitar and are not wild about Epiphones or other brands, by all means jump on one of these SE 245's. You will say WOW and grin with every chord and note. Besides that, she is a real looker! You can thank me later!

A MUST HAVE guitar
Plays like a dream .Can cover any kind of music and a truly quality instrument. I absolutely give it 5 stars and it is a guitar you will never be dissapointed in. Incredibly fun and east to play, came set up perfectly, just needed a string change (like all new guitars) but sounds fantastic and in my opinion is one of the very best guitars you can buy for the money. Worth every penny… read more and then some. Can't recommend it highly enough. One of the nicest sounding and playing guitars you will ever own. You wil be delighted with it from day one and it is one of my favorites and I have been playing electric guitars for over 30 years and this should be definetly on your MUST HAVE list. You will never be dissapointed in any way by this guitar. It is very hard to put down once you start playing. In my opinion worth twice the price and outplays and sounds better than guitars costing twice what you'll pay for this. One of the nicest guitars you will ever buy and never be dissapointed in. Can't recommend it highly enough but once you pick her up she is VERY hard to put down. It is a very easy guitar to fall in love with. Looks as beautiful as it plays without being tpp heavy or dissapointing in any way. This was my nicest surprise of the year and I have been playing for over 30 years. Get one while you can it bis an absolute winner in every respect.
Fantastic guitar
I can't recommend this guitar highly enough. I took it to my Luthiers for a set up and all he did was put on my favorite strings. Needed nothing else. Set up perfectly at the factory. I love it. Plays like a dream and sounds fantastic through a good amp (Nothing sounds good through a cheap amp)
