Metal fabrication tool
First Schecter in the stable and I absolutely love it. Crazy as it may seem, I find this to be way superior to my two PRS guitars. The sound ,feel and playability is second to none. My new go to.
Fantastic shredder!
I would like to start this review by saying that I am very pleased with my Sweetwater experience. I bought this guitar at the very end of my deployment. They reached out to me right away and thanked me for my purchase. Then I received the photos of the guitar and I was amazed. I could not wait to get home and play it. I am not a beginner guitarist, but I am also not an experienced… read more guitarist. I wanted something that was versatile. This is it 110%. I play various types of music. I have a Fender Stratocaster and a Jim Root Signature Telecaster. Great guitars. But this....easily the best quality and sounding guitar in my collection. The Fishman pickups are so much different than EMG. EMGs can definitely scream. But I wouldn't hesitate to swap them out for Fishman pickups. Very clean when you need it and so astronomically dirty when you crave it. I have zero complaints about this guitar. The locking tuners are great. The action is perfect. It took some time to get used to the frets. But that's with any guitar. Anytime someone sees this guitar, they are going to ask you about it. The Roman numeral frets are eye-catching. The fret markers are glow in the dark! The swamp ash is absolutely gorgeous. The only thing that I upgraded was strap locks. I didn't want to risk the strap coming off the guitar and having it hit the floor. My other guitars are neglected and they have been since this arrived on my doorstep. I'd recommend this guitar to anyone.
A must have in your collection
I was in the market for a high output guitar that would hold its own in the metal realm and the Evil Twin does just that and more. I was debated between this guitar and the LTD EC1000 and I'm glad I went with this one. The Fishman Moderns sound incredible and the overall guitar itself is lightweight, but not too light. I will never part ways with this thing, it handles drop tuning… read more like a beast and the stainless steel frets along with the awesome neck design make playing super comfortable. I can't put it down. You can also get some bright and pretty clean tones out of this as well. If you're looking for a high end guitar, with a somewhat reasonable price-range, this is the axe for you.
Such a great guitar
I ordered one of these and got a bit of a lemon. Looks like there were some internal issues with it that the guys couldn't really catch on the inspection unless they played it for a while. So, it was a minor QC issue from Schecter. I called tech support to ask a few questions and 2 days later a replacement brand new guitar was on my door step. Sweet water is fantastic at keeping… read more their customers happy. The guitar... the replacement was perfect. The fishman pickups really shine in this guitar. It sounds amazing for high gain music. The guitar is a tiny bit small for me but I'm a big guy, it plays and sounds amazing. It feels expensive and solid but it's still light. It stays in tune perfectly. I have nothing bad to say about this. If you are looking for a metal machine that can also do blues and clean goodness look no further. Thanks to Vaughn at sweetwater for helping me decide to buy this.
Best All-Around Guitar Ever!
First of all, kudos to Sweetwater and Alex. Have been buying from Sweetwater for same time now, and no one can touch the quality of their products, the setup on the guitars is second to none, and the staff is the best. This guitar is all I hoped for and more. Every time we rehearse I find new sounds that I actually like. I have had a couple of neck-thru guitars in the past, and… read more this one does not disappoint. Tuning and intonation are spot on, no matter how much I might be moving around. Love the Hip Shot bridge, too. Best part has to be the Fishman pickups and electronics. The split coils on each pickup really give a wide variety of tones, and with the volume control can take you to some pretty good overdrive without going to your pedals. The band wanted to learn "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" and within moments I dialed in a pretty good acoustic guitar sound and found myself actually finger picking it. Action on this guitar is fantastic and I'm sure I'm not fast enough to do it justice, but amazes me how fast I can get up and down the neck. If you've been looking at this guitar, do yourself a favor and buy it, I highly recommend it. This makes my fifth guitar in a row from Sweetwater, and I'm pretty sure it won't be the last.
