Boss Tremolo Pedal TR-2
I use it with my Guild Starfire VI and run through a Rivera Suprema Jazz amp. It makes those lovely jazz ballads sound like they're being played on a set vibes. Better than I expected. Been incredibly happy with all my Boss pedals.
Tried them all, and settled on this little guy
I've been through every trem you could imagine. From many years of working in guitar stores, I've played every pedal under the Sun. I've owned countless trem pedals, from the SupaTrem to the JHS Kodiak and everything in between. If you are a fan of the smooth, warm sound of 60's Fender tremolo, this is the one. Boss gets a bad reputation for no reason other than too many players… read more think it's "not cool enough" to have a Boss pedal on your board and they need all "boutique" pedals (which usually are just clones in a fancy package). Boss makes great products and they've always been innovative, reliable, and easy to find when you're on the road. I spent so much unnecessary money experimenting with various "boutique" trem pedals, just to realize that the whole time, the TR-2 was exactly what I was looking for. It's simple, and it sounds excellent for the warm Fender tremolo sound. If you're looking for a super versatile, do it all pedal with ten different mediocre sounding trem types, this isn't the one for you. However, if you want one pedal, that does one thing EXCEPTIONALLY well, this is it. I don't need a million trem sounds. I want the Fender sound, and there is no better pedal on the market for that. This is it, and it's permanent on my pedalboard.
Perfect
I've been playing a long time and been through tons of pedals. Boss just works great every time. And as far a tremolo this is the best one I've ever played through. Sounds great clean or with distortion. Perfect!
Dug it more than supa trem
Bought the supa trem 1st. Didn't fall in love. The tr2 is easier to dial in and just sounds better to my ear. Every ear is different though
Almost Keith Richards
Needed a new Tremelo and this one is awesome. Okay, I am not K.R. But love his music. Got a bottle of Jack next to me when I jam.
