I have an early Diaz Tremodillo made by Cesar himself and until I got this Supro Tremolo the Diaz was the winner in any shootout I've done. Not any more. This Supro Tremolo is simply magic. The amplitude trem is perfect; throbbing, swampy, chewy - however you want to say it. The harmonic trem is equally impressive and although not what I bought it for, it is really fun to have… read more onboard. It could certainly replace a vibe pedal. The drive is the thing that puts this over the top. Running in front of a solid state amp you'd swear you had tubes all nice and warm and glowing and breaking up just enough. Also, FWIW, I do not find this pedal to be noisy at all. Killer pedal, worth every penny.

I purchased this pedal from Sweetwater several months ago and despite being a staunch opto-trem (Fulltone Supa-Trem)advocate. The Supro trem has such a sweet sweet tone and the harmonic tremolo is killer in which a Uni-vibe style of modulation comes from the pedal. The bias trem is also impressive but what I discovered to be most surprising is the natural gain it gives. I can"t say enough good things about this pedal. The two different tremolo types are my favorite styles. They are "swampier" than the blackface tremolo. The harmonic tremolo is close enough to a vibe for me that I don"t need to have a vibe on my board, too. I"ve had amps with both styles of trem and I think this nails the tone.
