PERFECT - I LOVE IT
This trem is really sharp. The finish is gorgeous and the sound is perfect. Amazing versatility and adaptability. It gets the job done in spades. I especially like the square wave function as an alternative to a metronome.
Great pedal!
I was looking for a new pedal since i was bored with my boss tremolo. I'm so glad I found this pedal! It's versatile and has great quality. Thanks Ted for the receommendation!Kind regards, Sal Velarde.
Robust Effect
i couldn't be happier with the perfect example of a professional level effects box. The device quality is second only to the customer service that i received from Sweetwater !!! MANY THANKS !!!
Spectacular sounding tremolo pedal
I've been on the hunt for a keeper tremolo pedal for a while. I wanted both sine wave (standard Fender style), choppy square wave, and harmonic in one box. I initially was NOT looking at digital options, but it because clear pretty quickly that I was doing myself a disservice by not including digital options in my search. The M305 really delivers in all aspects. It's got the… read more nice Fendery sine wave trem, as well as a handful of slightly choppier options like the MXR style, optical, and reverse optical. A dedicated square wave mode serves up the perfect 50/50 on/off chop. And Harmonic mode is nice and chewy as one would hope. The speed goes from super slow to faster than you'd ever need. The depth range is fantastic, as ANY of the tremolo types can be made pretty choppy if you want, or very, very subtle as well. If you don't quite want a square wave, you can get a nice deep chop out of the sine wave or optical tremolo with ease. The dynamic envelope mode was a huge surprise. Tremolo speeds up when you play harder, and slows back down with the notes' decay or when you play softer. It's very natural sounding and even inspiring. It's almost hard to go back to a static speed tremolo after using that dynamic mode. And the dynamic envelope mode is available in every single tremolo mode too. This thing is incredible. The ONE thing I will ding it for is its somewhat hungry power requirements. Nearly 190mA is needed, so it's getting up near Strymon territory in power requirements, so make sure your power supply has a 200ma or higher outlet free if you want to use it with a pedal power supply. It does include a power supply of it's own, so it's not like you'll be stuck, just something to be aware of. Overall this tremolo is fantastic, and sounds wonderful after my outboard spring reverb tank for nice deep surfy reverb into tremolo sounds.
Love it!
I wasn't really in the market for a new tremolo pedal, my old trusty TR-2 still works just fine. I was sometimes bothered by the perceived volume drop when kicking it on. The M305 takes care of this by adding the gain control which is a huge addition to any tremolo effect. I absolutely love the feature set here. I'm generally a tweaker leaning towards the "more knobs is better"… read more side of things. MXR did a great job here of offering a tremendous amount of options while retaining a simple three knob setup. Anyone can pick this up and get going in no time. On the other hand, if you spend some time with it there is so much more here. Stereo operation through the dual output jacks or a TRS splitter cable, tap tempo and expression pedal speed control, and buffered or true bypass modes. The envelope mode is another huge addition and puts this thing into Leslie territory, especially when using the HARM setting. Setting the speed and depth controls down a bit in envelope mode creates a dynamic sound that gives some movement to your sound. All the modes are usable but the Harmonic setting is so good I don't usually stray far. Five stars for sure.
