Vitamin T .047uf Paper In Oil Capacitor Review

I'm happy

I have a Fender Performer Stratocaster with a SD Nazgul in the bridge. I've been really happy with it but it's always sounded a little muddy to me. A guy in a FB group recommended I replace the stock capacitor with this one, so I figured it was worth a shot. On just the Nazgul through my Revv G3 pedal the tone is much smoother and clearer. Before the Nazgul combined with either of the stock Fender pickups was not great. But now, the bridge with especially the neck pickup is just beefy. I'm really happy with it.

Vitamin T tone capacitor

This cap has definitely changed the tone of my bass quite a bit . I am glad that I made this purchase. My tone now can be expressed in a clearer tone with a boost of aggression. Now my bass is a serious metal bass. Guy's this is so worth it. It only took about ten minutes to change it out that includes the time it takes to heat up the soldering iron and get your tools ready. Big Difference! -Smooth tone control

I felt like my Strat was somewhat anemic in the tone control department. But since installing the Vitamin T .047 I can"t get enough of the new versatility of Strat tones. Just saying - It really brings out the beast in Hot Noiseless Pickups. That Strat now goes from Strong Clean sounds, to Spankin Strat, to Quackin Strat. So many useful cool Strat tones. Worth the time and money! The biggest change in tone I have ever bought…!

Better than expected

We all know there is a lot of snake oil and bad information about guitar electronics out there. When I purchased this I was skeptical that there would be an audible difference. Before i installed it, I did some audio analysis with the ceramic cap. After installing this oil cap, I right away noticed that the tone was much smoother and even warmer. I was not expecting anything but… read more the difference was substantial. I re-ran the analysis with the oil capacitor and in fact there was a difference in frequency and transient response. I cannot find a scientific reason why there is a difference, but there sure as heck is. If this was a $20 item I would probably only give it four stars, but at this price... just buy one already and see for yourself. I highly recommend combining this with an Emerson Custom Treble Bleed Circuit volume mod. Oh yeah, this went on a p bass.
