Breath of Freash Air
I have a 1996 Fender Strat that sounds crappy when you turn down the volume. Installed one of these and it was like breathing a breath of fresh air into the guitar. Best $ I've spent on my guitars.
Amazing mod for Humbuckers!
My MIK Epi Les Paul Custom sounds great with this mod. Seymour Duncan Jazz in the neck, Custom 5 in the bridge were wooly and muffled if not on ten before. Wow! Great clean warm articulate sound at any volume. Beautiful jazz cleans. I have a new guitar. If you have a darker sounding guitar, this is the mojo you're looking for.
Very Impressed
I didn't think this addition to my strat would be super noticeable, but it was. I used to shy away from touching my volume knob because I didn't want to muddy my tone. Now it sounds great at any volume level and it's good for fine adjustments playing in headphones or apartments.
Work perfectly
Do exactly what I expected. If I backed my volume down even a little all the highs would disappear and sound muffled. Decided to give this a shot and it's one of the best guitar mods I've ever done. No need to change pickups or pots. This did the trick
These do work.
They work better if the parallel resistor is half or slightly less than the volume pot value.
