Chose this guitar as a beginner. Was nice knowing it had been gone through by Sweetwater with their 55 point inspection process. A little minor tuning and I was on my way. The slim neck does make it easier to form cords. I did however buy a strap to hold the neck in place. The body of this guitar is really not large enough to rest in my lap and play comfortably. I spent a lot of time watching video reviews of beginner guitars and the Pacifica 112V kept appearing as a top choice. As a complete beginner, I didn't want something too cheap and didn't feel that I should get something too expensive; this Pacifica is perfect! I like the feel of it, it looks great, and it holds a tune for a long time. No sharp frets or other issues.
