Fantastic Guitar after removing the string mute
This is the dream Jaguar you've been dreaming about! When I first got it, the action was super high and I was ready to return it. However, after removing the string mute, I actually had to raise the bridge and it plays like a dream with low and level action from the nut to the last fret. There is very little single coil hum, too. The pickups sound really bright and clear and… read more the electronics are high quality. You can roll off the volume for less attack and the tone controls are useful all the way down to zero. There is no need for a neck shim and so far the bridge is rattle free. If you decide to leave the string mute on, you'll need a 1 degree neck shim from StewMac to level out the action. Just take it off! Very plush case. This one is a keeper.
