I did a thing...
This Gibson "Les Paul Studio Plus" really is one of a kind, and I just couldn't help myself. I had been sniffin' around this guitar for some time now, and when Sweetwater came out with the "Sweetwater Exclusive", I caved! I've only had this since yesterday, but it didn't take long to "feel it". It sounds fantastic. I highly recommend this wonderful guitar. The finish is stunning… read more and equal to it's playability. I just can't find the words to how expressive this guitar is. Like always, I'm so grateful to Sweetwater (and Chris Nunley) for all the support throughout the years. Thank you so much for making another dream come true.
Amazing Les Paul
I am beyond happy with my new Bourbon Burst Gibson Les Paul. Not only does it look amazing it sounds amazing and is more guitar than I will ever need. I have owned two other Les Paul standards and this studio is by far my most favorite. The playability is awesome and I have already reached new playing heights!
I Love my Les Paul!!
I have wanted a Les Paul for a very long time. I had one when I was young but sold it because I joined the military. Always regretted it. But now I remember how awesome it feels to play a real Gibson Les Paul!!! The action is perfect!! The plekked fretboard makes it feel broken in…like it's been played for years. It's extremely comfortable and easy to play all the way up and down… read more the neck. The body is only like eight pounds or so but the sound is fat!! It rings forever and the pickups sound so clean and clear! I made a few cosmetic upgrades. Nothing too fancy but it definitely looks better in my humble opinion. I love playing this guitar and you don't always see a Studio model with a flamed maple top. I took off the pick guard to show off the finish. It's an excellent addition to my collection and I'm so glad to finally have an LP in the house! Cheers! Andy
I love it!
I love it! My Gibson Les Paul Studio Bourbon Burst, a Christmas present from my wife. I have several "minor league" guitars but this guitar is definitely in the "major league". I have watched all the YouTube videos comparing guitars to the Gibson Les Paul, and wondered why. Now I know, this guitar is a work of art and sounds as good as it looks. The feel and play ability of the… read more Studio model is awesome. I am playing it through an old tube amp which compliments the warm clear sound of this guitar. Getting the guitar from Sweetwater was the icing on the cake. Knowing the guitar was carefully inspected, set up, and a sales representative to make sure you are happy with your purchase is just outstanding!
Fantastic Guitar
Got one of these about a month ago. I love it. Plays/sounds great and it looks incredible. Many thanks to Derek for great customer service as always.
Great Gibson
My new guitar sounds and plays like a dream, paint looks perfict in every way with the Sweetwater exclusive Heritage Cherry Sunburst, it's my first Gibson and with many other guitars I own, Epiphone, PRS, Fender and a few others(all sound and play different in there own ways), but this one is night and day on sound a quality
Finally, a Les Paul that weighs less than my Stratocaster!
I've played guitar for over 50 years, and I'd never actually purchased a Les Paul. Mainly because they normally weigh between 11-16 lbs, and tend to be a back killer. Imagine my surprise when I found out they now offer several models that weigh the same (or less than) my Strat! So, I called my rep Joe and worked out a deal on one of these exclusive "plus" beauties. A week later… read more I'm playing my absolute dream guitar! Although It came factory PLEKED, I paid Sweetwater to set it up perfectly for me. (It was worth every penny!) When it arrived it was in tune and ready to gig with! Gibson has a winner here, and if you love the sound of a vintage Les Paul for a very reasonable price, pick one of these up before they run out! I'm glad I did!
Best Guitar This Guy Has Ever Owned.
My wife bought me this guitar for my 64th birthday/retirement. She and I perform with our band several times each month in addition to some duo and trio gigs. I have owned approximately 20 guitars in my life including Stratocasters, Telecasters, Epiphones and a custom Les Paul. I currently have six electrics and two acoustics and they are all quite nice. Up until today, I played… read more and performed mostly with my Gretsch 5420T Electromatic which I love. My Gretsch requires frequent tuning during performances which is annoying and so I've been interested in switching to a guitar that would have nice tones and stay in tune better. I was worried that this Les Paul- being a thoughtful (and expensive) gift from my wife, might not be my new favorite and I'd feel obligated to play it anyways. Within an hour of playing it through my tube amps, I felt that shiver up my spine realizing that I have a new favorite guitar. The tones are just awesome. they're "Phat" and clear and balanced and the intonation is perfect right out of the box. The tones with my Ibanez distortion pedal are full and clear. After installing a Bigsby, which I do on most every guitar I have that isn't a Strat, this Les Paul is perfection. With new strings broken in, I can tell after a couple hours of playing that the tuning holds quite well- better than the Gretsch. The color and finish is beautiful. The gig bag is by far the best one I've ever seen with thick padding and beautiful outer shell and so I won't bother getting a hard case. The first picture was taken in bright sunlight and so looks lighter than the second picture which shows the Bigsby. These are the same guitar.
Les Paul Studio Plus
I couldn't be happier with this guitar. Looks and plays amazing. I spoke with Brad Jahn on the phone when I called to order it and he was very helpful answering all my questions and arranging for me to pick it up at the store, since I only live two hours away. When I arrived, the girls at the front desk were very friendly and helpful as was the gentleman that helped me find some… read more accessories (I added the "poker chip " switch washer). My experience with Sweetwater was excellent and their customer service is top notch.
