Amazing Les Paul
I am beyond happy with my new Bourbon Burst Gibson Les Paul. Not only does it look amazing it sounds amazing and is more guitar than I will ever need. I have owned two other Les Paul standards and this studio is by far my most favorite. The playability is awesome and I have already reached new playing heights!
I Love my Les Paul!!
I have wanted a Les Paul for a very long time. I had one when I was young but sold it because I joined the military. Always regretted it. But now I remember how awesome it feels to play a real Gibson Les Paul!!! The action is perfect!! The plekked fretboard makes it feel broken in…like it's been played for years. It's extremely comfortable and easy to play all the way up and down… read more the neck. The body is only like eight pounds or so but the sound is fat!! It rings forever and the pickups sound so clean and clear! I made a few cosmetic upgrades. Nothing too fancy but it definitely looks better in my humble opinion. I love playing this guitar and you don't always see a Studio model with a flamed maple top. I took off the pick guard to show off the finish. It's an excellent addition to my collection and I'm so glad to finally have an LP in the house! Cheers! Andy
I love it!
I love it! My Gibson Les Paul Studio Bourbon Burst, a Christmas present from my wife. I have several "minor league" guitars but this guitar is definitely in the "major league". I have watched all the YouTube videos comparing guitars to the Gibson Les Paul, and wondered why. Now I know, this guitar is a work of art and sounds as good as it looks. The feel and play ability of the… read more Studio model is awesome. I am playing it through an old tube amp which compliments the warm clear sound of this guitar. Getting the guitar from Sweetwater was the icing on the cake. Knowing the guitar was carefully inspected, set up, and a sales representative to make sure you are happy with your purchase is just outstanding!
Fantastic Guitar
Got one of these about a month ago. I love it. Plays/sounds great and it looks incredible. Many thanks to Derek for great customer service as always.
Best Guitar This Guy Has Ever Owned.
My wife bought me this guitar for my 64th birthday/retirement. She and I perform with our band several times each month in addition to some duo and trio gigs. I have owned approximately 20 guitars in my life including Stratocasters, Telecasters, Epiphones and a custom Les Paul. I currently have six electrics and two acoustics and they are all quite nice. Up until today, I played… read more and performed mostly with my Gretsch 5420T Electromatic which I love. My Gretsch requires frequent tuning during performances which is annoying and so I've been interested in switching to a guitar that would have nice tones and stay in tune better. I was worried that this Les Paul- being a thoughtful (and expensive) gift from my wife, might not be my new favorite and I'd feel obligated to play it anyways. Within an hour of playing it through my tube amps, I felt that shiver up my spine realizing that I have a new favorite guitar. The tones are just awesome. they're "Phat" and clear and balanced and the intonation is perfect right out of the box. The tones with my Ibanez distortion pedal are full and clear. After installing a Bigsby, which I do on most every guitar I have that isn't a Strat, this Les Paul is perfection. With new strings broken in, I can tell after a couple hours of playing that the tuning holds quite well- better than the Gretsch. The color and finish is beautiful. The gig bag is by far the best one I've ever seen with thick padding and beautiful outer shell and so I won't bother getting a hard case. The first picture was taken in bright sunlight and so looks lighter than the second picture which shows the Bigsby. These are the same guitar.
